Why are there no baskets...
a) Baskets have a tendency to go walkies and need to be replaced. This increases overhead.
b) You can't put many items into a basket, and they want you to buy a trolley's load. It's their way to nudge people into buying more.0 -
I always want a basket, it would be a bit daft for me to push a trolley around the store with only a few things. So I just juggle. The Very Right Honourable Lady Tarry of the Alphabetty thread-I just love finding bargains and saving moneyI love to travel as much as I can when I canLife has a way to test you, it's how you deal with this that matters0

I just grab a cardboard box somewhere from the shop floor. Also saves the 3p for a bag.0

So do I, but it can sometimes be a bit of a pain to find one, and they're obviously not as easy to carry as a basket.Stompa0 -
I take a shopping bag in with me and use that as a basket - andit saves hunting for a box or paying for a bag. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I personally really like Aldo food. I don't visit very often, as it's not on the way to anywhere (so it costs me more to get there!). DH and I often pop in before a holiday because we really like the soft drinks, juices, crisps and chocolate!
Also, I would agree with the cooked meats and cheeses being very nice, and extremely reasonable compared to other supermarkets. At least from Aldi, you are more likely to get genuine german sausage, not a mock up from elsewhere.
Like someone said. Each to their own. No one can please everyone.

Yeah but unlike the near min wage retail earners the Aldi ones are expected to earn their £8 (watching them it seems to me they do the work of someone on twice that).
Suppose it all comes down to pay penuts get monkeys (no offence ment to anyone else in that line of work reading this).Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.0
