Is there nothing you can slide down between the two to release the airlock?

cold water on the ourside maybe? Not warm, it will cause the air to compress so will get even more stuck, so IN THEORY cold air should make the air contract and release (not sure if it will work in practice though, I normally just smacsh one when I get peed off :D )

Stand the mug in hot water until it expands enough to let the glass out. Don't leave it too long otherwise the glass will expand too.
