i've run them under ot water when its happened to me and they've dislodged. Am sure there is a scientific explanation but I'd try than before oil. WD40?People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Maybe try sitting the jug in hot water - it might expand more than the bowl just enough to let you separate them.0

I have 2 bowls that do this regularly! I immerse them both in a bowl or bucket of hand hot water, leave for 10 mins, and then a quick twist and they're apart. HTH0

What Rosy said - it should work. Has doe for me in past.0

NOO - He who knows thinks you might be able to free it using some washing up liquid to lubricate followed by some warm water, that might free it enough for them to part company. If that doesn't work, he says try putting them both into a warm not hot oven upside down, the theory is that they will both expand slightly in the heat and the bigger one will expand slightly more than the smaller one and you may be able to lift the jug off. Sorry in advance if neither is any use, Cheers Lyn x.0

I'll give the hot water thing a go next time I boil the kettle, thank you! we've turned the hot water off to the taps to save money on the gas bill so no hot in the taps only in the shower upstairs lol!Blah0

Does this save much - I'd always thought that it was cheaper to heat the hot water using the boiler rather than kettle/ elec shower as gas is so much cheaper than elec?People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

we got over £100 back on last quarter even tho we'd added a gas hob to the kitchen. reduced our DD to £30 per month now, so I'll let you know next Q for sure! ours isnt a combi boiler so it doesnt heat on demand from what I can work out so we're avoiding the "ticking over" cost - it means washing our hands in cold water when we've been to the loo but what's a few germs between friends esp if you've got antibac soap right?
I'll let you kow next Q how were doing with the price increase and heating costs!Blah0
