Cold water in the glass and stand the cup/glass combo in hot water. The hot water should expand the cup and the cold will contract the glass. And try twisting the two objects, gently, in the opposite direction.

Hello
We placed 1 pyrex measuring jug into another for storage and now cannot separate them! Any ideas on how to release them please.
I am guessing some lubricant like olive oil or some form of heat but not sure
Many thanks

Put iced water into the inside on (it'll contract) and stand the outside one into a bowl of boiling water (it'll expand). They should then magically come apart

technically it might not work, but then again it might. Put iced water in the top one and stand them both in a bowl of hot water - the bottom one (may) expand and the top one retract.0
