THanks for the support, but as I have already got 3 dresses (ahem) I think I should leave it at that, my fame as a shopping ninja is well founded...:rotfl:0

I'm quite excited to find this. Myself and OH have been engaged unofficially for ages, and I've had a ring for a few months. I've been a bit blase about planning at as the money is very daunting.
I've been looking around today at venues and I've realised with a bit of imagination I can keep it low but still have most of what I want (a small wedding anyway).
Still need to clarify with other half but it will either be Sept 09 or 2010.
Quite excited now.
Congratulations! Let us know when the year is confirmed and I will add you to the list.

Plus I bought the cards for my invites from WHSmith in Cheshire Oaks, they have make your own card sets with 50 cards (in cream) and envelopes reduced to £5.99 a set so I got 2 sets and a laminator for £15.98 coz the stationary is on 3 for 2!
Plus I work for a well known larger ladies clothes store and get discount off other stores in our group so will get 25% off the mens hire suits, and if I find a dress in my shop will get 25% off that too! But I doubt I will be that lucky!0 -

Hi all
Well we have now sorted out what we are having and we are just having close family and the wedding party at the whole day and then an official send off around 9pm.
Just wanted to share this with you. We ordered our cake on sat. Were going to get a M&S one but at a recent wedding fair we found a local company who would make cup cakes for us with the right amount of guest with any design we wanted for just £25 more then a M&S cake would have cost. Am so happy!!!! we will be having 5 tiears as we need 45 cakes and a top tiear with our initials on the top of the love hearts on each cupcake.

We've been engaged for years but couldn't ever afford to actually get married!
Providing finances and availabilty we're hoping for Friday 26th June 20090 -
I just got engaged a month ago, we have already started planning the wedding.
France 10th December 2010.
Paying for 25 people to stay over with us they only have to save up for their flights which ryainair etc do very cheap.
It was only £1000 to hire a 11 bed villa with pool etc.
It seems to be the best and cheapest option going abroad.
Cant waitbuzzzzz:D:money:0 -

Can I join please?!
I've been lurking on the board for months as OH and I have been talking about getting engaged for a while. He proposed last weekend, and it's taken me about a week to fully get used to it! We've started planning already, my Mum has been a massive help going round venues getting wedding packs. Looks like our date is going 5th Sept 2009! Nowhere in our area had any Saturdays free a year from now but we seem to have got lucky and found gorgeous Georgian hall that had been due to close next year so they stopped taking bookings, but now it's staying open and they have loads of dates free! We've provisionally booked it for now, going for a proper look round on Saturday, so excited0 -
Well done Dooverylittle and Time4Tea! Make sure you give us a peek at your dresses on the other thread!0
