Following the fantastic thread by Moneysavingstudent, I have started a new thread for the brides who are excited about their wedding, that they started planning well in advance or they just want to get ideas from other brides who have already started planning!

Can I join??

Mr P proposed on Saturday night (the eve of my 30th birthday) and of course, I said yes!

We plan to have the big day either summer 2009 or summer 2010. Not sure yet, to be honest... it's all so...oo I don't know, mindblowing right now!!!


I'll be here lots.. we are thinking something very special.. A FESTIVAL!
Better start looking for fields to hire now!!

Planning has taken over my life and I have 20 months to go before my wedding day! So much to do! I am in awe of anyone who is able to plan a wedding in a short space of time!

Morning everyone!
well, my better half and I had a chat about setting a date last night.
We are going to wait until Summer 2010.

We have discussed children a lot and have a plan in mind, so we would like to have a wee one first (hopefully next year) and then get married after that!

We had the plan before Mr P popped the question and we are sticking to it.

He said last night 'Pickle, I love you so much, and we ARE getting married, it's just that I think that we need to start baby dancing first, like we planned... I don't want to be an old daddy'. (He'll be 33 this year).

awwww!!!! I'm so pleased we're still going ahead with our plans!

Doesn't stop me from starting the planning for the wedding now!
Only our best friends (another couple) who live in NZ know of our plan for having a baby. But I come off the pill on Christmas day this year, then we start TTC on Valentine's Day 2009 (that's the plan anyway!)

If you really want to stick to your plan pickle... Make sure your well prepared in between christmas and valentines day!

Our plan was to start trying right after the wedding... I'll be 7 weeks pregnant when I walk down the aisle because we were a little 'unprepared' one night!
