lol well i'm not a sleeve type of person really lol but my mum says the sleeves make the dress, which i suppose looking at it, is true. But the other dress i was going to have is this one in burgundy:
clicky
but i decided i don't like the top part of the bodice, and it doesn't look like it holds your stomach in much, not that i need holding in but still.0 -
Morning all
OH had a halfday at work yesterday, so we went to make a final decision on the flowers before she started.
This was the third place we've been and the prices were the lowest on everything but the buttonholes. They wanted £2 per buttonhole, I asked the lady if she'd drop the price and OH kept pipping up 'But we'll have to get cheaper flowers', 'she won't drop the price' and I had to tell her to shush as I was negotiating! :rotfl:
She did drop it to £1.25 each, despite OH interfering, so result
As we still had time left we thought we'd take a quick look at some cakes and made a decision on that too! So a productive morning.
We are going with this cake...and having Mrs & Mrs C***** iced onto it. It's a chocolate cake so we'll be buying a fruit cutting cake, for those that want that instead. (That'll hide in the kitchen until being served)

JayJay - youcould always aske them to make the sleeves detachable that way you wouldn't have to cut them off if you didn't like them!!! Lovely dress by the way!

Hello!
My OH and I are getting married on the 17th April 2010 (an expensive saturday, I know, but lots of people having to travel who won't have to take a day off work...)
I'm so excited! :j
But so far we only have the church booked.
No idea how to go about sorting a reception!
Never mind, we still have nearly a year.Married Ajichombo on 17th April 2010 :j0 -
Hi All
I went to Ikea today and picked up some voiles for the venue windows (the curtain are really dated and they dont mind us changing them) they were £2.97 for a pair and will look so much nicer with a bit of colour co ordinating organza tie backs!
I also got some tea light holders for the tables, pack of 12 for £1.97 so bought 4 packs got some tea lights and a few other bits.
Feel like i am starting to make progress now, as i have started buying. It might not be much but its a start. Off to hobby craft tomorrow to buy bits to make my invites, better make a start as I have over 80 to do so will give myself plenty of time to do them!
hope everyone else's preparations are going well0 -
