I've never ever used fabric conditioner. I use ecoballs for washing now - the less chemicals in the house the better! (No, I'm not obsessed but like to cut back where possible!)

I have a sick child so I can't go out & lots of washing to do... but I've run out of fabric conditioner almost (about 1 loads worth left and I've already watered it down alot!), I have no white vinegar, any ideas of something else I can use?
Just go without, it won't make a huge difference.
On another note, anyone got a banana cake/loaf recipe that does not use eggs at all ?
    Thanks.

I agree with the rest, just go without. Growing up my mum NEVER used fabric conditioner, she thought it was frivolous! And my clothes were always soft and smelled lovely (shop's own brand washing powder ;) )

I'm making two large pizzas on Saturday but can't find the dough recipe I have used in the past. Has anyone got a recipe that makes good pizza with an approx how large the dough rolls to IYSWIM ;) I'm feeding 6 maybe 8 with it so am planning on making a big one on a baking tray - maybe even two then there's one for the freezer :D Thanks in advance.

This is my fave recipe for no egg banana bread http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=11441.0

I've done it loads of times and it comes out amazing every time. Just beware you only need one teaspoon of vinegar and it might need to cook for longer than the stated time.

  • No salt available anywhere locally because everyone's been salting their drives and everywhere has sold out.

Does anyone know how to make bread without salt?!
Update: DH reminded me of the salt in the cleaning cupboard. :D:o :j

    It does indeed sound yummy.
I think I will make this even though I have actually got enough eggs now, as I decided to brave the snow in the dark, and walk down to local Coop whilst DH looked after DS. (I have not been getting to town as don't want to have to get car out in this unpredictable weather- it is snowing again here  and it is a faff to push DS through the snow).
On another note, on the freezing of cooked dried things, can I freeze my cooked marrowfat peas I am making today, as only need half ?
