    I've just gone through my tins cupboard and found a tin lurking at the back of three bean salad - Cannellini Beans, Flageolet Beans, Adzuki Beans.
    Does anyone have any idea what I could do with them please? Was thinking some sort of soup or pasta bake but am not a very good cook unless I have some sort of recipe :o
    Here is a use for the Cannelini beans, you could just skip the soaking cooking stage as she is using dried beans.

    It's funny how everything seems so simple... once you know how :D

    You can also soak and cook a big batch and freeze them in portions :)

    Yes I might do this [STRIKE]once I[/STRIKE], if I ever :rolleyes:, make some space in the freezer.

    Yeah it was fine really, it's got a bit of a different texture to noodles so you can tell the difference, and it's pretty much impossible to eat with chopsticks... But other than that, all was good! (Might have had something to do with putting waaay to much chilli in though, we were distracted!)

    For anybody who has a pressure cooker, don't forget you can do beans/pulses in that. Saves that pan boiling away for a couple of hours:D.

    We are going for a self catering holiday to sunny skeggy this month and i am really struggling with food money. My question:

    I usually make a cheese and tomato pizza in my breadmaker and eat it straight away. What i want to know is...if i make it before hand but not cook it and then freeze it, will it still be ok to cook and eat when we get there?...what i mean is...if it has been frozen and defrosted, will it be flat again?

    Thanks for any pizza advice

    I know that is a bit of a random question but I just cant do it! Been married a year and a half and have never successfully cooked a sausage. Have tried frying.............oven...............george foreman. they always seem to burn on the outside and be raw on the inside.

    I have a fan oven, microwave and a george foreman. Can anyone help?

    I too used to be rubbish at cooking sausages! it used to drive me nuts! :mad:

    But now i fry them, on the lowest heat for a long time, i put them in my huge pan with the lid on, i turn them every now and again and drain fat away, then when they are cooked through i wack the heat up a bit to brown the outside.

    Not sure if this is the best way but it's the only way i can do it without turning them to raw charcoal :rotfl:

    It sounds then as if you are cooking them too fast. They take a long time, and several 'turns'. Not something you can wander off and leave at all.

    Wonder_Girl's suggestion is good. I do mine in the oven.
