16 inches = 41 cms. I worked it out by looking at the back of my tape measure which has inches on one side and cms on the other.0

Useful Google tip:
in the search bar, type
Convert
followed by what you want converted
The first entry that comes up is your answer.
So this would be
Convert 16 in to cm
the answer is
40.64cm
Hope this helps!

Hi PF
I love a question I know the answer to! 16" is 40.6 cm to be precise:p
I like to buy cushion inners a little bigger than the cover- just to get a plumptious appearance. There's nothing worse than a sad looking cushion. So if you see something say, 45 cm square (that's just less than 18" in old money), I'd be tempted to go for that. Just remember to go easy when you're stuffing them though the zip!
And just so you know, the quick measure is that there are 2.5 cm in an inch. So a 12" ruler is 30 cm.
Hope your cushions look great!Won Mulberry Bag Jan 090 -

I got 2 cushion covers for the bargain price of £2! They measure 16 inches by 16 inches. I need to buy an actual cushion to put inside, but they are all measured in cm, does anybody know what 16 inches is in centimetres?
Thanks so much
As has been said :T Always buy your cushion pad larger than the cushion cover
I'll add this to the Quick Question thread later.

Thanks Trixie - it did come too late and i was only brave enough to put a small amount of lentils in - but I will know now for next time. I won't need to 'hide' chickpeas as such, though I might mush them a little. And I will soak the soya before trying that too, thanks
NOW!!! Pork Chops. I think they were a little on the cheap side and I always find pork tough and tasteless. Now they are for tonight so too late to think of the SC  Will baking rather than grilling help? how long should I cook two fairly substantial pork chops for? I will have a maximum of about 2 hours to cook dinner before I need to serve it!
Thanks0 -

If they have bones, take the bones out. Then put them between two sheets of cling film and beat them out to about twice their size using a meat hammer or the rolling pin. Mix up a tablespoonful of honey, two tablespoons of soy sauce and a dash of chilli sauce or some powdered ginger, or whatever other flavouring you fancy. Drop the chops in the bowl of marinade and roll them around until covered then allow to sit for 15 minutes. Grill...be careful because the honey in the marinade can burn very easily.
You can also cut the flattened chops into strips before marinading and use them in a stir fry. Or into chunks for kebabs.Val.0 -
Does anyone know if you can use spaghetti as noodles? I've started to prepare a stir fry only to realise I don't have any noodles... Whoops. Thought spaghetti might work instead but I'm a bit worried it'll be weird.. Thank you!Freebies: Nov - £5 Habitat voucher; Dec - £5 Amazon voucher, mini bottle of Glavya

Hi all, Just found the thread and was interested in the lentils. I am new to lentils and threw a load (red) into a chilli the other night. It was really nice-gave it a really meaty texture, and I got an extra portion out of it for the freezer. What else can I use red lentils in?SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65

Anything that I want to stretch out really or make more satisfying. Plus I like the fact that a serving of lentils is a portion of your 5 a day & has protein & fibre in! The only thing that my kids know their in is the soup - they reckon not to like them in anything else :rotfl: HTH
