Here's one I've used afew times which is quite nice!!

Mash up a banana and mix it with honey to make a pulpy kinda paste, then apply it to your face. Leave it for a wee while (not sure how long) and wash of with water.

I was told by a hairdresser that if you use 2 tablespoons of white vinegar to a litre of cold water to rinse your hair after washing it makes it abit shinier and tangle free.

Also, isn't rosewater meant to be a natural toner?

That mask sounds lovely. I'll have to add honey to my shopping list or would that constitute buying skincare:confused: Maybe I'll wait til the 100 days are up. Rosewater is a natural toner but it can be very harsh on your skin. I wouldn't use it personally. It may be worth a try though if you have some in the house but I wouldn't buy it for that purpose alone.

My mum was going to do 100 only buying necessities, and was doing quite well until she went shopping.

I'm quite worried to look in my bathroom cupboard. I buy showergels, shampoo ect when on offer and use them abit then put them away when i get something new.

Not really, you can use honey in warm water for a sore throat so you could say you're just being prepared! and honey on toast is a nice way to start the day. ;)

  • Hey folks,
just seen this thread. I think my 100 day challenge should be not to buy processed ready meals or take-aways. I don't do it all the time, but enough to make a serious dent on my wallet, and also my waist! I'm actually doing weight-watchers, and i've lost a couple of stone, but i've lapsed lately and hit a plateau (no wonder eh?!)...my wallet is pretty empty a lot too ;-) So from today, no more unnecessary processed food, no more take-aways...100 days ends on Boxing Day! gulp......
  • p.s. Oh I meant to say i'm going to join all you chocoholics and give up chocolate at the same time. I actually managed this for 4 months, but caved one day. Actually, when i think about it, since i've started eating chocolate again, i've been more inclined to eat other crap foods (i.e. take-aways etc). EVIL CHOCOLATE....
