ok, I pledge not to buy any of the expensive tiny cups of coffee or mocha from the coffee machine at work. At 40p each it is just too expensive to keep having them several times a day! Now I get to find out if I actually have any willpower!

I think this is my first proper challenge! Great idea!

I have tried making some of my own things recently, face masks and things like that, which has been really satisfying because it's all from kitchen cupboard items. I'll post some of the recipes if anyone's interested?

I'm very interested in your recipes please:D - I like the face masks etc from Lush but don't want to pay their prices - so would love to see how to concoct any home-made items.

Now you've tempted me out of lurkdom, I suppose I'm going to have to give up something - for me it's BUYING CLOTHES. I gave up at the beginning of the year & lasted approx 6 months, then weakend. I have a house stuffed with clothes & shoes that I never wear - so I certainly don't need anything. In fact, I need to sell a lot of them, so this could be cold turkey for me.

  • Hello, I am very brand new to this forum, 10 minutes old actually, but I so like the look of this challenge I wanted to join in if that's OK. I am fanatical about McCoys chargrilled steak crisps. I aim to give these up and save the 50p a day that the pack would cost (I only buy them the days I'm at work) which will serve 2 purposes 1) I will be slimmer, hopefully, 2) I will be £50 richer. I might even have no spend days if I stay in at lunchtime.
    Looking forward to the challenge.

  • right am gonn kick this up a gear. realised that i'm replacing buying cake/biscuits with crisps so i'm not going to buy them either!

Free magazines about food - select 'health & nutrition' from the home page and follow the link at the bottom of the text about James Martin. It isn't quite Hello magazine, but probably more useful!
