  • So far I have bought

    - new toner
    - new cleanser
    - new moisturiser

because I had used up my old stuff - using all the bits meant my skin went a bit wonky but it has calmed down a lot now - I did order some spot stuff too that never arrived! (annoying!)

and I am currently using night cream for my face as foot cream!! (worryingly it works! ) Also i am my last bottle of body lotion.

I have asked for facial stuff for Christmas and new perfume too.

I am SO pleased I did this challenge!

thank you Magni for starting it xxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Praise be - the lack of chocolate has almost killed me (and that is WITH me taking every bit that has been offered to me)

Am feeling good about the toiletries though, the only thing I have actually bought is shampoo (because chip fat head is never a good look), actually would have liked to have used up a bit more than I have as my cupboard (which really is the size of a small wardrobe) still overfloweth

Am really happy that I did this challenge, I definitley want to carry it on for toiletries/cosmetics, kitchen tat and clothes (with the exception of vouchers that I got as my leaving gift from work which IA m going to spend in the sales) - cheers magni for the challenge

Sounds like some people are depriving themselves too. If I am offered a coffee at my mum's or friends I will happily, grovellingly gratefully accept it. as I set my challenge not to BUY it. Too be honest it was after I started this challenge that my mum actually went out and bought a jar of coffee in. Only go down on average once every two weeks which is also when I see my friends. Good job really as I went through hell the other year swapping to decaf, and neither my mum or friends actually buy decaf in.
Come boxing day I will be buying the biggest jar/tub of decaf coffee in I can get.

Think most of you have 25 days left. I started a day or too late, and my hundred days finishes on Boxing day.

i dont see it as depriving myself, i had enough toiletries here to prob do another 100 day challenge lol - doing the challenge gives me the incentive to throw out or use up a lot of stuff that would normally just sit there and never get used - and then spend money on new stuff that prob wont get used after a while as well

although come after xmas i will go out and get a few treats to myself
  • I said depriving in the sense that some people seem to feel guilty about consuming 'freebies'. To me a freebie is exactly that, a freebie, its not cost me so can be enjoyed as a luxury treat.

Thanks for this challenge, I filled a big heavy duty Sainsbury's carrier bag with beauty products and moved them into my bedroom for storage :o . I have known for years how much I have bought and keep buying but have found it hard not to, like some of you on here.

I am now a fully signed up member of this 100 day challenge to not buy any more toiletries, cosmetics or beauty products and nothing from shopping TV which has sucked me into it's world and this is my biggest trigger to spend money I don't have

Start date 1/12 end date 10/03/09

Oh yes I have more than enough to last me until then, even when I give some away for Christmas presents. Might be able to do another 100 days after - will see how this goes.

The shopping TV is the one I will find hardest  but now have this challenge to focus on and help me.
