100 Day Challenge

Hi everyone. I can't believe we are more than half way through the challenge! I am almost scared to say this, but it really hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. I fear it may get more difficult as I use more things up and there is less in the cupboard but at the moment I'm still going strong and as others have said I love finishing bottles. I nearly booked an appointment to get my legs waxed today (which would have cost c.£15) but instead went and got an epilator fromm boots using my points (that doesn't count as breaking the challenge because it was free, right?) and will now save myself loads of money! I'm quite pleased with myself!0

Hi gang, I'd like your advice if possible! I still haven't bought any magazines since starting the challenge :A but I've been thinking about buying Prima this month for the voucher for a free £25 Elizabeth Arden eyeshadow. This would be a perfect pressie for my mum at Xmas, but is it cheating? Thanks! x0

rb6ac - you can probably get away with that as it saves you money in the long run, as long as it is a genuine save£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Ooooh, or you could ask around at work and see if anyone else gets it and doesn't want the voucher...£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Thanks poorandindenial - great idea, I'll ask around to see if anyone has a spare copy first. Also, it wouldn't be an impulsive buy as my mum loves Elizabeth Arden so I think it'd be money well spent0

bit of confession
In my attempts to use up stuff my spots have got a lot worse, so chucked a load of (very old) cleansers and mositurisers (well the moisturisers I am using as body lotion) I got a new cleanser, toner, moisturiser ( simple, superdrug's own, simple) and some spot cream amd face wash. sorry but when three people ask you what has happened to your face- well you can imagine how utterly awful I felt!
It has been very interesting tho, I have used up my expensive stuff at the start of the challenge which was beginning to have less and less effect on my spots, the mix up of cheap/old stuff made things worse. I have only been using the new stuff for a week, its ok. waiting for the spot stuff to arrive. I waiting to see if it makes any difference.
I do have a much more sorted bunch of toiletries tho.

Soap and glory have a free gwp?! What is it? *soap and glory junkie*
Is it still going until saturday? I'm getting some of their cleansing wipes so I could *ahem* stock up.
It's ended now, but I must confess that yesterday I did buy 3 S&G bits on 3 for 2 but I paid with points, so that doesn't count, right?! The handcream was for me as I just used up one of mine, the rest are for Xmas pressies.
Other than that it's going well- I've not even been tempted by the new No7 GWP. This must be the first GWP for years that I haven't got! I'm feeling good getting through my toiletries stash in the bathroom. Hopefully making space for lots of lovely Christmas presents.

I saw the S&P GWP on saturday and spent ages toying with the idea but I've set myself a weekly budget now and that would of soaked up about half of it so I was nice and calm when my boyfriend dragged me away.
I got some lipgloss yesterday, buuuuut, my mum bought it for me and with her boots points so I think I'm in the clear? I was sighing over it in a kind of hinting-for-a-small-stocking-filler kind of way and she just picked it up and bought me it. I can't complain.
I was on asos yesterday looking at the vintage bourjois collection they have oo-ing and awh-ing over the packaging but noticed I only wanted it for the packaging so closed my laptop and focused on wrapping presents for an afternoon.0
