    Hi All,
Ive decided to end the challenge when everyone else does so it wont be truly a 100 day challenge, but I don't think anyone will mind:D I still haven't succumbed to temptation, but my cousin gave me an exfoiliating soap and lavender body balm so I have had some new stuff to try. I love browsing websites for beauty products and in the leadup to Xmas have managed to resist countless sales and my running tally is $350 saved of things that were absolute bargains that I could possibly have persuaded myself to buy:eek:
    Good luck everybody:A

Great idea! I don't know what I've saved really as I've been avoiding the shops. But I've probably saved at least 30 quid from not buying anything from the ELF website *drools* :rotfl:

I am astounded at how much I haven't missed shopping. I did at first but not any more

I agree. I am enjoying seeing the contents of my beauty products etc go down:D I just finished a bottle of eucalyptus and cedarwood essential oil, which I am classing as a beauty product even though it is also medicinal and great for cleaning. I am not going to replace it until the end of the challenge. Well done all:A

  • Well like others I'm actually finding it easier than I thought! I did buy some Foamburst as it is all OH uses in the shower and it was less than half price in Asda (plus he had run out). Other than that the only toiletries I have bought is a hair dye, which I knew I'd have to get.

I reckon I have probably saved £50ish so far! Crazy really. Day off tomorrow so I'll try and put a few more bits on eBay to try and clear out before Xmas chaos ensues....

Don't tell anyone but there is a set of three lipglosses from Estee Lauder that I REALLY want....plus if I bought two I would get a GWP as well.....:o I didn't just say that though and I will not give in!

Reading your replies made me think, I must be saving about £50 a month too. Scary stuff! I've still got loads of freebies, a whole box full, to get through yet.

I think this challenge will shape my new year's resolution!

  • Hi all. Just a quick update. I still haven't bought a single cosmetic/toiletry item since starting the challenge so I'm really pleased with myself. I agree with what others have said in that it's not as hard as I thought it would be. I may need to buy some conditioner before the challenge ends but am determined not to do it until I have finished every last drop in my cupboard (including all the samples).

Well done to everyone else - this is such a great challenge!
  • Hya everyone, I haven been on here in a few weeks, but my challenge is going well. Someone bought cakes into work today, so I had a feast! Glad you're all keeping up with it!
