however my e.l.f. lip plumping lippy is nearly finished and i am very very very tempted to purchase a new one ... or two ... or three - just to justify the postage, of course - not to accumulate any more stock!

How many times have I done exactly that:rotfl: That is the reason I have loads of ELF stuff upstairs unopened (not to mention other internet purchases:o ). I always like to get free postage but with ELF being so cheap you have to buy a lot of items to get the free postage:eek:

  • Is it a bit late to start? I guess only 60 days left but as a newbie I can start small.

I will not buy impulsive snacks such as crisps and chocolate, or drinks - coffees and bottled pop etc . Not sure why it has suddenly started. I think it's because of the shiftwork.

Like many others should be kinder on my pennies and my waistline! :D:D

Still doing quite well over here! I'm still reading eve magazine. It's the only magazine I read cover to cover. The free mascara is amazing! I've not had any urges for makeup, magazines or chocolate which is quite good :D Although I seem to be spending all the money I would spend on that on bedroom stuff. I'm half way through re-doing my bedroom so I can't add that to my list because it would do my head in with all the things it needs (i want for it) ho-hum!

    Hope everyone's doing well! :D
  • Wow, day 40 already? Seems like less. Well my cosmetics challenge is going great (am tempted to ask what ELF makeup is but I won't!). I can't belive all the stupid shades of makeup I've bought then discarded. Any idea what to do with them? Most of the eye shadows etc. have only been used once and I feel wasteful binning them. Maybe I should dress as Boy George at Halloween?

The no buying bread, cakes etc. has been kind of counterproductive as I have been baking them at home then eating them as if they're going out of fashion:rotfl:Would have been better for my waistline to just buy them individually. You live and learn I guess.

60 days to go - come on, we can do it :T
  • I had to buy some chocolate today as I have friends coming over tomorrow and I decided to do strawberries dipped in chocolate. I obviously decided that I needed to do TWO types of chocolate and might have bought bigger bars than strictly necessary.

    other than that, all good.

I had to go into Boots yesterday as DH needed deodorant. I used my points to pay for it:j I saw a beautiful eyeshadow palette reduced to £15 from £30. Now I am longing after that. Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up in the sales even cheaper:D All still good here too though.

Snow White you have to try out ELF make up when this is over. All items are £1.50 and are excellent:D

Thanks for the recommendation :T Will make a good reward for completing this challenge.
  • *is very tempted to search for ELF stuff but won't*

have mananged to use up two moisturisers, found an old face cream which I really HATE the smell of and am using it as a foot cream(!)

I may run out of dedorant and shampoo, Mum bought Dove soap which I use ( shower gel makes my skin so dry) but she buys it as part of the shopping so its not me as such.

I think I can probably hunt out some shampoo but may have to cave on the deodorant front.

I am astounded at how much I haven't missed shopping. I did at first but not any more

    xxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

recycled some of my makeup. My older sister is going to a halloween party this weekend and started rolling off a list of makeup she had to buy, so I rooted around in my makeup bag (when I say bag I mean a tote bag filled! Seems ridiculous now) and ticked almost everything off her list.

Still no more make up, magazines or chocolate :)
When I changed my bedroom around last week I found more facey washy bits! So I picked up some cotton pads when I was shopping yesterday and I'm planning to use all that up.
I know I haven't given up shampoo, face wash ect but yesterday I chucked an empty shampoo, conditioner, body wash and face wash bottles. (last week I did get some body scrub but talked myself down from a £6.50 S&G tub to their £2 travel pot)
