How's everyone doing? I'm still on track for the no cosmetics etc but I seem to have spent almost my full "allowance" for the rest of the month:eek: I have about £30 left to see me through. I'm determined to not use credit or dip into any savings I have. I have been to Tesco 3 times this week and spent over £100 on food:eek: Not good but at least we shouldn't starve:p100 Day Pot £13

Magni, I feel your pain
I am still doing OK on this challenge but also have massively overspent on my normal budget. I have about £100 until the end of the month (not so bad in theory and more than some people on here are living on - all respect to them but....) I have to cater a tea party at my house, take stuff to someone elses party (need to take nice stuff really) and do drinks for a friend's birthday. OK so I don't HAVE to do ALL of it but I want to and it will be an interesting exercise in how far I can stretch whatever remains. I did also put £31 on a credit card the other day and would like to clear that before pay day (not holding any breath but am bitterly determined not to put any more on there)
My masterplan
£20 on friend's birthday drinks (although I owe her for drinks from last night so this could up to £30)
£25 on catering the afternoon tea (need to include some booze although do have some stuff in so might ask girlies to bring a bottle and just then have to sort out the food which will be as home made as possible anyway)
£20 on stuff to take to friend's party where I need to take nice stuff (might creep up but am going with OH so might convince him to pay half)
That leaves me with (optomistically) £35 for the rest of the month (ignoring the credit card), knowing me I will haemmorage a tenner of that so after that I will mostly be buying bumper packs of meat, value tins of tomatoes, random veg that happns to be on offer etc and turning them into vast quantities of meals for my freezer. That £2 I saved on the deodorant should cover a pack of mince :rotfl:
Am still loving this challenge though as otherwise I would have spent at least a tenner on chocolate due to the stress of having completely kneecapped myself by ludicrous IKEA overspending at the start of the month.

Cinny911 you bad girl:p Did you actually need new foundation or did you just fancy it?
I did need it! I was surviving on dabs of concealer for a week, and looking very blotchy. Plus I'm starting to get a cold and loosing all colour in my face. That's my story and I'm sticking too it.
Bought a magazine yesterday too! *smacks hand* Trying to think of 'my defence.' I've decided I was in a cough syrup haze and wasn't thinking straight. It came with a free no7 360 mascara too. Much it was much needed as mine has gone vair gloopy and nearing it's death (So I saved £11 on that) But it's eve, and eve takes me a very long time to read and kept me company when I had an early night last night. Decided to ask for a years subscription to it for christmas! I miss it so!0 -
Cinny91 if you needed the foundation then that's not so bad. And if the magazine purchase was actually to save money on a needed mascara then that's not so bad either;) The purpose of this challenge is to stop wasting money on things that aren't needed. You can justify anything if you really want to:rotfl:
I've been good again today. Had an NSD as was at work:D100 Day Pot £13
