    Hi all

A quick question - I am definitely going to have to buy some deodorant in the next couple of days, I was perusing in Boots and saw that the boots own is a THIRD of the price of the branded (I never even looked before - hmmm says a bit)

    Is it any good??

(finished my shower gel - another bottle [strike]bites the dust[/strike] goes for recycling)

I have never tried this but you can let us all know how you get on with it;) I am currently using the Dermologica deoderant which is aluminium free. I try to use this as much as possible but in the summer I need more help:eek: so I usually use Mitchum.

I started doing this a few months ago, before I found this thread! My friend used to be the beauty advisor in Mr T's and used to give me loads of free stuff, sorted it all out and put it into wicker baskets, now have one for make-up, one for creams and lotions, one in the bathroom filled with shower creams and hair stuff. So far I've only thrown out one finished bottle, but theres a lip gloss just about finished, and a shampoo just about done. I work in a huge shopping centre and have to walk past loads of shops/temptation every day ,but haven't given in yet

Definitely try the Boots own brand deodorant, this time it's research not just buying because of advertising or a pretty container!

I'm still going through pots and potions, I'll still have loads left over after the challenge, probably for the next 100 days as well :o

  • Hi guys, I hope you are doing really well.

I am on day 30 and so far I have not had any crisps. NONE at all. Not even A crisp. It seems to be getting easier as the days go by but what I do know is that if I so much have a crisp that will be bit so aslong as I take it day by day I am hoping I will never eat another crisp again...........(I am hoping hard)

I'm back from Boots unscathed:j I spent £20 on the gift card and let ds and dd talk me into buying a big bag of Maltesers at £1.90. They have been eaten by us already:eek: I used cash which always helps. I had a look at the makeup, especially the offers but walked away. I even went as far as to touch the new Max Factor mineral makeup:eek: It looks lovely but I already have tonnes of other mineral makeup:o

I even managed to walk through M&S without any spending:j

  • Well, I did it, I spent a whopping 99p on a 250ml can of deodorant in the name of research :rotfl:

Other than that came out COMPLETELY unscathed

Well done! I sinned - bought some sweets yesterday as I completely forgot they were part of the challenge (honest guv). On the toiletries front though I've been an angel. Using up all my samples and can agree that it's a great feeling to chuck out bottles and tubes one by one.
