    Hi all,
Id like to join and have 100 days of not buying cosmetics, skincare, haircare, chips, soda and all junk food. A bit ambitious I agree:D as I love all of the above, but they eat into my budget severely and I think I need a total spending freeze on junk food as I very much need to lose weight:o Also if I am serious about getting out of debt then I need to prioritise. End date 20th January start date 13th October. I am going to post everyday to stay motivated:j

  • Phew, everyone is doing really well

I HAVE purchased some chocolate twice this week but both were gifts for friends (OH was with me on one occasion and saw how gutted I was to be buying for someone else and not for me and got me a lovely big bar of nice posh chocolate to make me feel better - what a love)

Toiletries wise I have nearly finished a bottle of shower gel (only 6 million more to go) and have finished a bottle of face wash and started on another - phew. Am still wading through shampoo and conditioner that has been looking at me for ages that I don't really like but am finally using up.

I will need deodourant soon (I hadn't seen the state that the ones that I had sitting in the cupboard for ages were in and had to throw them out) so will have to break the challenge for that but otherwise looking quite good.

My feet are loving the old face cream I am slapping on them and the old face cream I am using on my sholders is doing wonders for the random spots that started cropping up there a couple of months ago

hi all - seems like you are all doing fantastically. i am feeling depressed as i dont seem to be finishing any of the bottles of "stuff" i am using - probably because they are all pretty full. i have a habit of trying something and then buying something new and trying that too. anyway, half way through a shampoo and conditioner and also a body wash - only one suitcase full of stuff to go!

I have sinned! I bought some foundation on friday, but i've been good on the other fronts of the challenge! I nearly bought a magazine on the way to work this morning but reminded myself.

Running low on shampoo, i think it will last until the weekend so I can have a good look around for the cheapest :)

Cinny911 you bad girl:p Did you actually need new foundation or did you just fancy it?

I have walked past Boots again today and did not go inside:j

dpixie keep at it. You'll feel so great when you finally finish your 1st bottle;)

  • Hi all

A quick question - I am definitely going to have to buy some deodorant in the next couple of days, I was perusing in Boots and saw that the boots own is a THIRD of the price of the branded (I never even looked before - hmmm says a bit)

    Is it any good??

(finished my shower gel - another bottle [strike]bites the dust[/strike] goes for recycling)

I cant believe I am writing this but do you think I could amend my challenge to omit skincare? I think I was a bit crazy aiming for no spending on so many things, I should have put magazines instead of skincare cause I never buy those anyway:D I'll wait to hear some responses before I change my signature. Ive thought about it and have decided with the amount of debt I have I am keeping skincare in the challenge. My OH brought some coke today when he did the shopping as he is starting new job and wanted a treat, so whilst I didn't buy it I am going to help consume it!

Hi puss14, You can lake up your own rules so if you want to omit skincare that's fine.
