Hi Magni - and all of you!
Sorry, not looked on here for a bit as I've had one of those weeks where I've been so busy workwise I could cry, I'm so exhausted! Still - a very good thing really as after the initial rebellious lapse on the sweet-buying front I've resisted all temptation to spend on any of the things I'm trying to give up. Well, when there's no time, you just can't! Hope the rest of you are all doing OK.
Congrats on the new job mentioned poorandindenial - I'll back track and read more later!
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!
  • I was really crap today, it was mom's bday, so we went out for meal - I succumbed to my fave dessert - treacle sponge! Most definately a cake!

LOL I'm back on the wagon tho...

Well done on your new job poorandindenial!!

I think I've done okay this past week, my boyfriend bought me a bag of 5 marsbars but I was strong and made them into crispie squares for everyone. People are still recycling their magazines via me (love it and look) and even though I have afew teenage spots I've given up wearing makeup completely (alright, not completely still have my liquid eyeliner on today!) but I'm feeling alot better for it :D

Also, yesterday to fill my sweet tooth I made my own grape juice, it's so so sweet! and knowing it's only black grapes and water, kinda feel good too.
  • Hi all

Cheers for all the congrats, you are all lovely

Well this place has gon a little quieter of late, is everyone being good or are there some hefty confessions coming?? lol

I have to add another thing to my list as I seem to have replaced all the stuff I have given up buying with shopping for tat for my flat. I popped into IKEA for some candles on Saturday and came out having spent £120 (not just on candles) I blatantly can't be affording to do that again so consider tat added to my list.

Can anyone just get what they went in for at IKEA???

  • poorandindenial - looks like you were under the IKEA spell ;). The only way to avoid it is to check the price of what you want online then only take that amount to IKEA in cash. But who actually does that? Not me (surveys room full of IKEA stuff:rolleyes:).

My challenge is going ok but I had to buy some biscuits when stuck somewhere and it was literally a case of either buy biccies or eat nothing all day. But I'm back on the straight and narrow now. Even sailed through duty free the other week and bought nowt!

I've had another good day but I was at work so it's easy to stay away from the shops on those days as I work 12 hour shifts. I'm on the next 3 days as well so I know I'll be good;)

poorandindenial I also can't go into IKEA and only come out with what I want. My solution was to send dh which also meant he paid for it:T

No spends on make up or products. Think I could do this for a year I have so much stuff. I am using samples now of perfume just to get rid of them. It feels good using another bottle of something. I feel like I am detoxing. The thing that is keeping me away from the shops is the amount of stuff I already have. We have a small flat so Xmas will be a nightmare lol!

    Hello!

We are all doing so well :D

I have also resisted all cosmetics so far, I'm so proud of myself! I haven't finished off anymore bottles, tubs or tubes, which always feels like a big acheivement, but everything is steadily going down and I have -little- space in my bathroom cabinet for the first time since I can remember. That said most things are still stacked two products high...

I've got an exfoliator which is really nearly done, but it's in a tube so I'm going to cut the top off for all the 'free' extras which are left inside. Then I will have to do without until the end of the challenge. I'm sure I've got some exfoliating mitts somewhere...

And my E45 has nearly run out but I class that as medical (right?!) so I will buy that - and only that - from the cheapest place I can find (and I won't go into Boots because I know I am not strong enough to resist!).

    xx
