Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker
slightly fell off the wagon on sunday night, i couldnt resist a bottle of perfume at the airport however i dont think it should be counted as it was money that i didnt spend on drink on the saturday night
also i got rid of 1 tin of hairspray, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 shower gel also makeup wise got rid of 2 eyeshadows and foundation
and never brought any toiletries home (brought some makeup back tho)
so i feel a bit vindicated in not counting the perfume :p

You've used up a lot of stuff there, Poppy. One perfume is not falling off the wagon completely, unless it was a litre bottle, of course :rotfl:

I'm currently going through all the little freebie bottles that you get when buying two products, so a mixture of Clarins, Clinique and Estee Lauder (hmm, wonder where the debt came from...)

    Hi all,

I took those hairclips back to Boots yesterday for a refund. Don't know if you remember but I was trying desperately not to go for 3 for 2 on makeup, so ended up coming home with loads of hairclips that I realised I wouldn't ever use. I'm so glad they let me return them!

Did waver though as I was leaving. I want to get my mum something she loves from Clinique for her birthday. And it was bonus time... So I was thinking, I could just buy myself one little thing and then I'd get the gift. But I was so strong and I resited. And I thought about it all afternoon, and I still resisted. And today I feel great for it! So I'm very pleased with myself.

Still can't believe how much stuff I've got 'in stock'. When I was talking myself into buying something I thought 'hmm, mascara' (no, got two of those waiting to be started!), 'lipstick' (no, got loads I haven't finished), 'lipgloss' (don't even go there), 'moisturiser' (no still one full pot unopened), it's ridiculous. I have a stockpile of everything. Here's to having an empty bathroom cabinet by Christmas!

    xx

Well I've managed to finish a bottle of bubble bath, a tube of hair serum and a bottle of shower gel, all ready for recycling.

I will still have loads left at the end of the challenge, how on earth did I manage to buy so much :o

You're doing really well! I think my progress in emptying bottles might slow off soon because I've been deliberately using ones with not much in so I can get rid of them. How do we accrue so much and not notice? It's worrying isn't it. This challenge is making me think a lot more about how much I buy of everything... Although the live on £4000 a year crowd have got my grocery budget to next to nothing already!!

    Hello!
I've got an exfoliator which is really nearly done, but it's in a tube so I'm going to cut the top off for all the 'free' extras which are left inside. Then I will have to do without until the end of the challenge. I'm sure I've got some exfoliating mitts somewhere...
Did you know you can make your own cheap and natural exfoliator from olive oil and coarse sea salt? Brown sugar also works well. It keeps for ages in a screw-top jar. It's great as a body scrub - a bit harsh for the face though!

It seems there's been a bit of wagon-falling here - I'm guilty as well. Bought a croissant. Hhhmmm, I could argue that it's a pastry, not a biscuit or a cake, but I'd be kidding myself. Oh well, onwards and upwards! xxx

Thanks for that! It is a body one that's running out, still got loads of face stuff. If I'm brave enough I will try it... Bet the oil leaves your skin really soft as well.

I would actually call a croissant a pastry as well, I think of it more like bread than cake. But if you were just buying instead of cake then I can see where you're coming from... Like I keep saying, it's so much easier when you are just not buying your challenge item - I can still use everything I've already got. I would fail in no time at a giving up buying food challenge!
