It's day 50 today:D Half way there:beer:
I have now used up a bottle of bubble bath and shampoo that I use on the kids:j Dare I say it but I think I have broken the cycle of spending on cosmetics. I love the feeling of using stuff up now and seeing the space it creates;)100 Day Pot £13

I was in boots on saturday, getting my BF a shaver for christmas and it came to £40. They had the 'Spend £50 get £10 in points' thing going on and I was tempted to get some makeup because it's 'technically' free, but I told my sister to drag me to the tills. Quite glad as I'd already spent a small fortune that day!
Well done:beer:100 Day Pot £13

Really?! Blimey!!
I think I've broken the crazied cosmetic buying cycle too, almost. I keep on seeing things and thinking 'oooh, niice' but then I know I wont use it so the need for it goes
Not been craving any magazines (bar when i got eve magazine to keep me company when i was ill) nor chocolate. But for the last 50 days of the challenge I'm going to give it up completely. *waves goodbye to grandma's kitkats.0 -
Well I almost bought £15 of Soap and Glory today to get the free GWp but I resisted! Feeling very pleased with myself. I've used up two bubble baths and nearly a shower gel. I did treat myself to some shampoo and conditioner on saturday as I only had left the one that doesn;t suit my hair. Naughty, I know, but it was only a cheapy one......:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

magni - i am beginning to find i like the empty spaces left behind by the finshed bottles. so much so, that this morning i got really grumpy because i couldnt find something i was looking for in my "collection" of stuff! my first thought was "i cant wait to finish a few more of these". i was really quite tickled by that thought.
have a great day everyone.1 oxfam jumper, 19 hexagon jumpers and 1 beanie!0 -

Half way already? I haven't bought anything, I'm completely with you magni on the kick of using stuff up and seeing space. It's making the bathroom easier to clean as well...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Isn't it amazing how we are changing our habits? Can't really say I'm mising buying toiletries either, but I'm most definitely pleased that the bathroom cupboard now shuts! It's funny, at the beginning of this challenge I wasn't sure whether to join as I 'needed' a new blusher and some mascara... I still haven't bought them, but am working out the difference between 'want' and 'need', and appreciating what I already have a lot more. Thanks to the rest of you who've kept each other going, and here's to another 7 or so weeks of a successful challenge :T0

What an awesome idea for a thread!
Ill be back on boxing day (because that will be exactly 100 days before I go back to Australia!) to join you all!
Good luck everyone!x0 -
I've put a bunch of makeup / soap and glory things I'd really like on my christmas list. Hoping I can stay off makeup well into the new year, just buying the odd thing when I do actually need it rather than going crazy.
I don't miss magazines at all, so I doubt i'll buy them again for a long time. Properly cut chocolate out (even the free stuff!) and I'm only craving some cadburys...0
