Depends on the clamp, some are harder to remove. If the clamper is there and watching you remove it he could always just put one on another wheel.

And I would let him of course:rolleyes:

This thread has highlighted how many people do not understand about car parks and charges, or lack of, therein.

    Nothing more

This just isn't about disabled parking. It is about Fraud (some blue badge holders), Theft and Intimidation (some private car parking clampers and ticketers).

No it's about disabled parking spaces.

As I've said before, just because there are some fraudsters out there, it doesn't give others the right to take up spaces needed by disabled people.

The land owners contract car park companies to try and make sure that people don't abuse the system.

Hopefully those reading this thread will realise that they have no need to pay any pretend "fines" and therefore become more clued up

    .

Supermarkets contract PPCs because they do not care about their customers and are too lazy to implement systems that will ensure that those who require disabled/parent and child or whatever spaces can get them

They contract PPC's because that's what PPC's specialise in. Supermarkets specialise in retail.

Shame that most PPCs do not understand the law.

  • The main crux of the thread it seems is parking where you want and then being able to 'wangle' out of the consequences when caught. Why not just park where you're permitted, or if you get caught, just swallow it and pay the fine.
I have a car park adjacent to my house where I park my car and van, and my 'paramedic' wife parks her car. It is clearly marked, but still people insist on parking on it! I usually block them in and when they knock on the door asking me to move make them wait for at least 10 mins.
No matter what the excuse they should not park on my land. It is my 'drive'. I bought the land and have a full set of deeds. Why should people save money at my expense.
I have the ability to issue parking tickets, and have done on numerous occasions, all have been paid.
The police have also informed us that should someone block my wifes car in we are to phone them and they will come and move it, smashed window and release handbrake.
After all if my wife can't get to work, there's one less ambulance on the road in our area......
People should think about their actions when doing what they've been asked not to do.
    Rant over.....

Why not stick a bollard on your land to stop people?
What allows you to issue parking tickets? (Just out of interest)

They contract ppc's to shift blame and stigma from themselves to a third party.
