OK, so I've read all the previous posts in their many guises and I know this may come across as a stupid question.....

I have now received my second notification for a supposed breach of their rules in an ASDA carpark just off the M4 in Cardiff.

Best of it is that I actually viosited the same store twice on the smae day and was never in the carpark for more than 20 minutes at either visit.

So the question is should I reply and tell them the situation or should I just ignore?

    Thanks for any guidance

Look on the parking forum on here and you will see a plethora of posts where they are all told to ignore and continue ignoring. If you look in the stickies you will see a letter chain that comes from your particular ppc/debt collector. You will likely get one of each of these before they give you up as a bad job.

I wonder if the two are related. could one of you nice people give some advice. Many thanks

Keep ignoring them and instrucy the quite powerless collector to stop contacting you by phone. Then ignore their letters. :)
  • Hi all
I parked my car in an asda car park yesterday in the corner of the car park not in a marked bay when I returned 15 mins later I had a ticket for not parking in a correct bay
Should I do what seems to be the majority on here and ignore ??

All depends who the ticket is from and who owns the car park.

If it is from the council pay it, or appeal. If it is from a private company ignore it.
If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 7555

Got a ticket from a jobsworth who noticed my Blue Badge had expired,
received no reminder, but since renewed. My tax disc states 'disabled' however - if that's relevant. Anyway submitted appeal after some web page delaying tactics. It won't however accept documentation, despite it being less than 1MB. I phoned their 0845 number and an equally 'jobsworth' lady states a 3/4 week back-log!
Personally I would just ignore this, but my wife worries thinking we could lose our house if we did not pay. Do these sharks realise the distress and anquish they are causing? Does Asda care that their clients are being subject to extortion? Our car carried folk in their 70s/80s who want to have a whip-round, I doubt if, like us they will give Asda Livingston their custom again, Rant over..
Anyone have an Asda phone number I can follow this up to?

You need to post this in the Parking Tickets Forum (linked above) for up to date advice - especially as you are talking about a Scottish store - because the legal situation in Scotland and NI is now different from England and Wales.
