Getting Even More Desperate

Ah, no, I'm just hanging onto CCCS advice that have to go BR from current address and presumably that's how the house gets 'wrapped up'. I think its because it is my current situation, and not a forecast for the future situation. Presumably, by the time I get to speak to my OR, he/she will then decide what my situation is at that time, which will be substantially different. If they can demonstrate that I've got enough surplus income at that time to make additional payments (is this called IVA/BRO I'm not sure - but I mean what they take after you've got more than £99 spare) then so be it, as long as I can afford to pay what I need to pay, and do my grocery shop, then I'll be happy with that. I will have made the biggest sacrifice by walking away from my house, that I really did work hard for (had additional part time work for about 5 years too). And its only the thought of that sacrifice that goes some way to stopping me feeling guilty about BR - i keep that thought when I read the few unpleasant comments about us getting away scott free. One of my colleagues only told me yesterday that I must be a frivolous spender otherwise I wouldn't be in the position I am today! When that happens I have to remind myself the reality of what's actually happening and losing the house is a big thing, as lots of us here know. Anyway sorry Mrs O, i went off on a slight tangent then.:) Are you ok? Have you got a thread on here?0

I'm sorry about what your co-worker said...how awful.
I do have a thread here...just trying to get my head round time frames and how Abbey will react as I am not answering their calls at the moment...second month missed but still have not been able to save anything.
Hopefully from here on out though. But I do have a ref number from CCCS now...so may take their next call.

I suppose its to be expected - people without debt can't understand how people with debt sleep at night - the fact is most of us don't!!! Anyway, I am not answering any calls but they are very frequent now (and I've only missed one month's payments) even had a text off one of them yesterday. But I phoned CCCS and asked them what to do about it - they told me to write to all my creditors telling them to take all of my contact telephone numbers of their files and instruct them to only communicate by letter - I need to send it by recorded delivery (so have to wait til payday
) but they have 28 days to delete the numbers and if, after that, it is illegal for them to contact you by phone. I don't know if that helps Mrs O? It made me feel better, as the co-worker I referred to earlier is actually screening my calls for me in work (she is a good friend) and I really appreciate her for that, but it isn't fair on her. Also I understand my creditors are trying to contact me on old work numbers of jobs in different departments here, that i haven't been in for 3 years..... I will look your thread up (although Im not very good at it, I have enough trouble finding my own thread
) 0 -
..... if time frame is concerning you, you could ring your County Court and see what their timetable is like. Ask them how long it is likely to be from the time you make your appointment. I thought it was months, but mine told me it is days.0

That's my worry...as I don't have enough money saved to be able to move...I have 5 kids to make sure still get fed etc. lol! Are you going for voluntary repossession or are you going to let them handle it all?0

Hi Mrs O, sorry for delay...... Have you stopped paying mortgage and credit cards? I am similar as I am waiting for payday, as no money at mo. I had it in my head I wouldn't move until nearer christmas, so id have money saved, but being as agent is pushing for 31st Oct, i won'd be saving any - and need to get br fees. My mother will lend me if I'm desperate, but that WILL BE off her credit card, which is rubbing against the grain with me now. You ought to start a thread up asking these questions because someone with a lot more experience will be able to give you better advice than me, and that way you can get more of an idea which order to do it all. I was very confused about my next steps.0

BTW I did most of my forms on line yesterday - the only bit i haven't done is the list of creditors (because that really makes me anxious) and the Section 13, Additional Info. I wanted to ask what to put down for life insurance - as I will no longer own a property is it necessary to have LifeIns? I'm not sure whether to keep it going, its £17.64 per month, I think its death only, with critical illness in there somewhere. I've not paid it this month because I cancelled all DDs and only got a building society account now, so not sure what to do. Any ideas?0

Hello, any ideas anyone on my Life Insurance question?0
-
Hi Rubie,
I think the lack of comment is cos no-one is sure. Presumably if you cancelled it you could still explain to the OR that as you no longer have a mortgage you didn't think you needed it. I would still declare it tho, just in case they thought you were trying to hide something.

Thanks Chelseabun.... In my head I can't see that its an issue other than I won't have any 'cover'. And as I don't owe money, am just paying the policy then I don't suppose it matters - other than to Norwich Union, who lose a customer. Thanks again.0
