Welcome Risstar. Glad you found us!!:D Like you, I have found It's nice to have some support and to find out how other peoples claims are going. Also to get everyone to inform the police etc. You don't feel so alone. As you read, many people were given the wrong info by paypal and successfully got money back, just like you. So it has worked well! I think I might start a face book group if anyone is interested so we can see what we each look like!No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30

Hi I'm new to this but we also have been caught in this scam. We were a bit later than many, paying on the 19th sept via ebay. We just received the paypal dispute outcome which shows in our favour but no funds available. I believe they have wrongly processed our claim under the buyer complaint instead of buyer protection policy so am challenging this decision. Many thanks to all who have taken the time on this forum to investigate and help people like myself.
We sent a report straight away to the police and to trading standards.
Our baby is due any time so forgive me if I don't get to post any more!0 -
hope all goes well with the new arrival and claiming your money back!No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30

Hi, have never used a site like this before but felt I had to in order to thank you all for explaining how to claim back my money back after being scammed!
I had spent a whopping £410 on my buggy from our friend Emmanol and waited patiently for my buggy. Only when he was removed from ebay and I couldn't find any other information from ebay did I find this fantastic thread
Like most of you I linked my purchase through ebay and paypal and unfortunately like most of you paypal processed it wrongly. I was told the claim had been found in my favour but no money in the seller's account-case closed........I phoned and was immediately reasssured that the claim had been processed wrongly, assistant most apologetic told me case was to be reviewed and I would get my money back.
Next day when I checked my paypal account it says 'appeal of limitation denied' and the account is closed again!.........not a happy bunny
Phoned paypal.....again......told AGAIN they are in the wrong and should have been processed as buyer protection claim NOT through complaint policy. Got transferred to some big cheese in claims department who after 5 mins on hold agreed to reverse payment and I got all my £410 back!!:j:T
Paypal are a bunch of chancers! Don't let them fob you off and thank you all again for the advice!:A0 -
So pleased to come on here and see more people getting their money back - I can't believe Paypal get away with this!
Have just been to Facebook and requested to join group.
