Mikiex you need to email Hillingdon police as they are dealing with this case. The email address is below. You will then be contacted by someone there asking about your order and dealings with Discount buggies. No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30

I too have been suckered in by this fraudster. I felt compelled to join here and post. I bought a pushchair in September and after seeing that the seller was no longer registered on Ebay, I contacted them with no luck. I then lodged a dispute with Paypal. They say they aim to have the dispute sorted within 30days. I was just wondering, what are my chances of getting my money back? The item was £99, so does that mean that Paypal will pay out regardless of whether they can get the funds from the seller? I'm just worried (and feel sick to my stomach) that I've lost the money and will have to dig into holiday savings to buy another buggy :-(0

A few questions for you. Firstly what level of protection was showing on the auction that you bought, if you have a copy of the auction page then it is up on the RH side near the top where the seller feedback amount is shown.
Secondly, when did you submit a full paypal chargeback.
I am concerned at the statement 'They say they aim to have the dispute sorted within 30days' as this is what they used to say under the old rules when a full refund was not guaranteed. If you paid using a credit card though you can always fall abck on that for a chargeback if paypal don't pay out in full.
Can I also ask that you add your details to the file being compiled by the police.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi soolin, I issued the claim with Paypal yesterday. I don't have a copy of the item page from Ebay, so I unfortunately can't check what level of protection I have. I didn't pay with a credit card, paid with a Visa. Is it worth contacting my bank (Halifax) to see if they will issue a chargeback?
Imeediately after I posted here, I sent an email to the Hillingdon Police, so hopefully they will be in touch so I can be added to the pile of people who've lodged a complaint.0 -
Has anyone contacted any more of the people that left neg feedback. I didn't get time to yesterday, but will try to later. If anyone has contacted more people could you update the thread with the ebay id's of those who have been contacted.0

Welcome to our exclusive club! Lol. We are here for support and to show you are not the only loony tune to think this was an honest site. You are in good hands! The case is growing with the police so I'm glad you got in touch with them too. We went to the bank but were told to wait for Paypal to see if they get money first then go and discuss charge back with them. We were given a 10 day response window though. No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -

We all feel idiots, but hopefully we can turn this round and all go to court when the fraudster is sentenced!! Unfortunately no more negatives can be posted as he is no longer registered on ebay.No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30
