how much should window cleaning cost?

Hi
We live on a first floor city flat and as such can't clean the outside of our windows.
I have survived with pretty dirty windows for a while now but have now decided that they really need a proper clean.
I have arranged for a Window Cleaner to come round this afternoon to give us a quote but am looking for advice on how much would be reasonable to clean these windows (they are old sash and case windows - 2 at the front of the flat (very dirty) and 3 at the back (not so bad as they are looking over the shared garden)
Thanks

depends where you live?
we pay a fiver for a 3 bed semi. ive heard of peeps paying 45 quid for window cleaning! (west london).Get some gorm.0 -
We live in a block of six flats (Ground & First Floor) in Leeds and pay £33 for the whole building - six windows per flat.
You'll get a better deal by talking to your landlord or management company about a contract for the whole block, or by clubbing together with a few neighbours rather than making individual arrangements.0 -

I stopped my window cleaner as he wanted £10  last time for 9 windows and a glazed front door on my 3-bed semi in Bedfordshire. My younger neighbour paid £6. Why do some people seem to think that because you're a bit older than them you're stupid and they can rip you off  ?0
