We have had sky for years and had various offers over the years. Last year we got sky + and were tied into 1 year contract. Year is up and I was wondering what I could do. As we have premium package to avoid paying £10 for having sky+ if I cancel the premium and go onto £15 package will they charge us £10. Now that school hols is nearly over I could put up with basic package for a while.!I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!0

Yes they will charge £10 for the Sky+ if you want to keep that functioning0

So really you pay £10 just to use sky plus features like recording programs and storing them on the hardrive. I think I'd rather stick at having the ordinary sky than pay £120 a year just for that.
You can buy hardrive dvd recorders now cant you? at least that way you can keep it. If you decide not to keep sky plus you lose your recordings dont you?Thanx

Well i don't have sky+ but i think if you cancel the multiroom subscription you can still record using sky+ it's just that you can't record 1 channel while watching a 2nd channel - you can only record the channel you are watching.Fortune's always hiding, I've looked everywhere......0

I'm about to move house in the next 2 weeks and Sky want to charge me to install a new dish and expect me to take my 4 year old box with me too.
I've emalied them and told them that NTL is already installed in the house I'm moving to and what is my incentive to stay with them, when they offer free installation, new box and Sky Sports free for 6 months to new customers.
I've asked them to offer me the same as a new customer or I'll move to NTL.
The offer for new customers ends today and I have a funny feeling that they won't get back to me until after this expires.
What do you think my chances are of getting this if I speak to them and maybe threaten to cancel?????0 -

£18 p/m with sky movies sounds like a 50% discount.0 -

I've continued to email them regarding the cost of installation when moving home and they are trying to tell me that £40 for re-installation is the best they can offer. It took an email saying that I was seriously considering cancelling my subscription for them to get back to me.
I think its poor that they offer new customers free installation and 6 months free Sky Sports, but an existing customer who also subscribes to Sky Sports is going to be charged £40 to have a dish put up at his new house. Any advice on whether to ring them and how to start the haggling would be appreciated.0
