Well I'm in Scotland and have used the freephone number a load of times last week but just tried to use it again today and only got please redial 08702 404040  damn Looks like they've closed it off.

So I called the 0870 number and got through to someone, spent a few minutes telling him about my problem (they've taken payment for sky+ box twice so I need that refunded) and then he said you need to go through to customer services for that. I thought I was talking to customer services! He then told me its about a 10 min wait in a queue - on an 0870 number, cheek! Not impressed but I guess they've got us over a barrel.

Can anyone tell me how to recommend a friend and how does it work? Also can it be used along with Quidco and if so , how?

    Thanks

OK, help me out here - how pushy do you have to be??

(as an aside - the 0800 number has been changed to a paper-billing-request number now - no options to be put through to Sky at all)

I called, got Mr @r5ey on the phone (really, Sky should train their 'customer service' people to offer just that!), who told me that he couldn't guarantee any offers. I said I wanted to cancel and he kept asking me to confirm that I wanted to cancel so he could put me through to cancellations.

As I was doing this on behalf of my mother, I didn't want to actually cancel her Sky account there and then.

Is it a case of getting through to cancellations, and then bartering? Or should I be offered something to prevent me from having to go through to cancellations?

Any help would be appreciated... cheers.

Just called on the 0800 2 days ago, got 6 months 25% off, so its now £18 p/m with sky movies. I already have the family pack. The problem is getting a sky+ box from them, any tips?!
No one said it was gonna be easy!

As long as it's with Customer Service, then yes. They will then put you through to the "cancellation department". It's then the charm is needed;)
