    Does anybody know?

I'm cancelling sky and unless they get back to me before mid August I'll be without sky. Does anybody know what channels I'll be able to watch if I'm not subscribing? Do I get BBC1 and ITV etc?..or do I need to buy a freesat card?

i want sky+ and when i went on sky site saw that the £21 i've been paying is for channels i don't really watch. should only pay £15. phoned them and said i was interested in sky+ but when i went online to see about it i decided to cancel after seeing its price and how much theyve been fleecing me. i'm moving soon and was offered sky+ for £99 plus the full entertainment package for £15 instead of £21 for 12 months. thing is on hindsight i think i'd be better off i'd taken the new customer offer on :(

only thing i can think of doing is to phone them when i move for them to install, and tell the guy on the phone i was offered the full package for 6 months as the new customer offer is now. tell him the one he's got is wrong

    think it'll work?

Yeah i reckon it'll work - certainly can't hurt. The worst he can do is refuse.
If you are lucky they may offer you something by way of compensation too.

Dont forget you will have to pay an extra £10/month for Sky+ on that package as it wont be free, you need a movie/sports package to get it free

Just had the sales department on the phone. I reported previously that my cancellation went through a couple of weeks ago with no call before the channels disappeared.

Today, all I got offered was 3 months half-price. When I pointed out that I declined 6 months - why would I accept 3 now? I was advised that the 6 month offer was withdrawn yesterday.

Would be interested if anyone else is still getting 6 month offers.

Have been with Sky for around 9 years now and currently paying the £21 per month.

Moved house approx 2 years ago and didn't inform Sky.

Would I be better to phone and threaten to cancel, (am hoing to get some sort of deal on Sky+) and if I get a deal just change address?

Or would I better to cancel completely and take out a new Sky+ contract at current address in my wife's name?

    Any advice appreciated.

I want to get Premplus for the new season, but at present it's £80 which is a bit steep. I know it normally drops to £50, does anyone know when?

no ideas on saving money here then folks?

We cancelled our Sky sub a year or two ago, so don't know if it's still the same. We kept our Sky card and it now acts as a Freesat card. We get all the basic channels, plus lots of others free.

I don't think you have to pay a your account is still active. Its just you are not paying for the extras.

If we cancel down you get the free to air channels
