I am not sure but I thought family package was everything apart from the sports and movie channels but if you ring them and check what you have been put onto ask if it is the family package as I think they may have changed the names.

Then just say well if thats £21 its too much to pay for that and you want to cancel. If they get you to take things off your not getting it cheaper only paying less as you are getting less. You really want to keep the fam package don't you and pref get it half price for 3 months or so. They asked me if there were any programs I didnt watch and I told them I wasnt sure who watched what as I don't watch it much myself so I wasnt going to take any off because it would be bound to upset someone in the house so its either keep the lot or get rid copmpletely but £21 is too much so I said to cancel a nd then they said ok £10.50 a month for 3 months
    Thanx

Don't rely upon getting a phone call from Sky within your cancellation period. My subscription channels have now disappeared and there was no call-back from Sky.

Oh dear it's prob best to wait till close to the time then ring yourself then to see what they can then offer and decide if to go right through with it or stay on.

I'm thinking of getting a freeview thing anyway coz its crazy I dont really watch enough, even though I've got half price I'm thinking is it really worth it. I'd have to have an aerial installed though as mine blew down about 14 years ago
    Thanx

Got back on to SKY ...... It appears the first Operator completely "cocked" my package and took off me more channels than explained to me.. !!!

Got onto the "Mad Yank" in "Disconnections".... really helpful, giving me "Bottom dollar" on all the quick money saving schemes....

Now Decided & signed up for the FULL package 25% off for a year immediately... ( INcludes Sports & Movies ) now at £31... instead of £42... so at least I gotta deal !! ... just hope its a Gud Un !

    Many thanx

I was woundering if anyone could plz tell me if that 25% off sky world at £31 means you are bound to keep sky for a year. As they told me that i was nt bound to stay with them for a year when i took up the offer, now i want to cancel they wont let me. As they said i have to keep that offer for the year.
What has everyone else been told?

We wanted an additional box so we threatened to cancel and got offered an extra box for £49.99 and no additional £10 a month charge for the extra box for 12 months. Don't know if this was the best offer we could have got but we were happy and the kids are ecstatic!

In fairness they did tell me it was "a 12 month deal"..... whether this means you are actually "tied in".. I wouldn't like to say... but suspect you probably are

They also offered an upgrade to SKY + for £49.99.....
