thanx I rang that number its something to do with having paper statements each month from sky but i just didnt press anything then eventually someone came to the call.
It ends at the end of september so I didn't bother trying to negociate anything just at the moment till I've thought about it more.
I'm not sure if an indoor aerial would work here because most of he houses in our street have boosters on an outdoor aerial too but I can still look into it I must say it would be much cheaper by the sounds of it at least once its set up with whatever arerials I need and freeview box of course. I could get an aerial man round to give me a quote but if I can manage to get a really good deal through sky I'd stay for a while I suppose but I have ntl upstairs so if I got 2 boxes I'd save on that too so getting an aerial might be worth itThanx

agggggggggggggr
i have just cut my sky digital bill by £18 per month by getting rid of sports channels and having a moan, they were going to give me sky sports package for £28 per month for 6 months but i though no thanks.
sky multiroom was £10 per month so i decided to down grade my internet from 10mb to 4mb and go with telewest for my bedroom tv, as it is £35 for 4 mb broad band, telephone line rental and the tv package, this saves me £15 per month with less speed internet. plus the £18 per month saved with sky.
however...
i have been told by telewest i have been paying £3.50 per month since nov 2001 for their analogue tv. this was cancelled in nov 2001.
i got conformation from someone in the sales team that i had been billed from nov 2001 onwards yet when i was transferred through to customer support i was told that i had only been charged 1 month ( this month) and as such she has creditted me £3.50.
is there any way of finding out if she speaks the truth or is fobbing me off to save refunding me £200 as i obviously dont have those bills?
it is the last time i dont check the bills and just pay for something, i can tell you!!what is the plural of moose?

so cheers
Rang today, genuinely to cancel, was offered £7.50 per month, 2 mix basic package, said 'no'. Then offered 75p p.m. for 6 months, so took it. Can stretch to that, me thought....0 -
After 3 phone calls,20mins,no joy,i left in Jan,they offered me 2 months @
66p a month, then i have to take the £15.00 package,or 3 months @ £10 full package or £7.50 basic for 6 months, asked about the £0.75p thing, they've never heard of it ?I give up....and they have been phoning me all week, but as i did'nt have password could'nt go any further, now i got password,i had to phone them as they got fed up with me saying no password.lol....i think the 75p offer must be for existing customers,as she said they can only offer so many offers at set times? The last offer i used was £7.50 for 2 months.....i guess i'm unkucky......:T It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice. :T"A bargain is something you can't use at a price you can't resist."

I phoned this morning and was offered 75p for 6 months straight away - its for for 2 packages - childrens and variety (sky 1, living etc) but they are the only channels we watch anyway. The man I spoke to said he could offer me the 75p deal as we had been customers for over 5 years.0

What exactly is the 75p one and what do you have to do to get on it? I presently have the family pack and I hardly watch any of it really but still like to have them just in caseThanx

Just been offered sports package for 66p a month for 2 months special world cup offer.
Apparently available to existing sports package customers.
Result.:rotfl:Fortune's always hiding, I've looked everywhere......0 -
Just done this and got it reduced from £15/month to 75p/month for 2 mix package.
When i cancelled my sky world pack to family + SS1 last year they reduced my bill but I never lost any of the channels. I recently cancelled SS1 in April as Liverpool had no more matches on and SS1 removed and still I got SS2 + movies etc!
So 75p/month for 2 mix pack, movies and SS2 etc for 6 months is well worth it!0 -
I have just come off the phone to sky - using 0800 587 707 and not pressing any buttons when requested and got through!
2 months ago I phoned to cancel and told them I now had an integrated freeview tv which was excellent and did not see any point in keeping on sky. I was offered 3 months at half price, which I took - I was paying £21.00 a month, and so I was now paying £10.50 a month.
Today I phoned to cancel again and told them that I wished to give a months notice (as I had been given 3 months on offer I wanted to make sure I was cancelling within that time frame) to leave sky. I told them that if I wanted freeview 'topup' I would only pay £7.50 a month for extra channels, and also said that I would not really miss any of the extra sky channels I would lose. The man did say that with topup I would not get as many channels, and with the channels e.g. UK gold and some others that they would only be on for certain times of the day, which I already knew. I was offered 6 months at £7.50 and I would be getting more channels than with freeview topup. I really thought it was a pretty good result and I took it.
It is worth giving them a call to see what you can get, but remember to be prepared to cancel when calling them. It may not be as good as a result as some here have had but on the other hand I thought it was pretty good result. :T0
