Called Sky this morning to cancel, used 01506 421702 got through no problems.
Was only offered to downgrade the package, when I cited costs as the reason to leave. So continued with the cancelation and last day is Feb28th.Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

no one is getting any sort of discount at the moment which is a shame. I really want sky+ but i'm holding back from calling them as i know it will be pointless at the moment.0

To be fair I am not too bothered, I hardly use the movies or the sports anymore, maybe the odd rugby or football match, so happy to cancel. might downgrade to some of the mixes though as son like discovery channel (petrol head) and I like some of the 4 andfive type channels.Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

Has anyone had any luck recently with getting a reduction or a good deal with Sky (existing customers)??
I'm thinking about upgrading to Sky+ and using the box I have now for multi-room but, I don't want to pay for the Sky+ box and installation. I've been a customer for 5 years. Any ideas?
Thanks!Official DFW Member 716 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -

Wonder if some of your regulars can help.
My parents are about to move into their retirement pad - they have never had Sky.
The pad has already got a Sky Dish - they are looking at some sort of deal with Sky TV Broadband and Phone - they are currently with BT.
What sort of advice can I give them.
MTIA,
Dude0 -
I signed up for Sky TV, broadband and phone last month, and actually got Sky+ free, as well as free installation!
I've only got 2 TV packages (waiting for a new Setanta offer, Sky Sports is way too expensive) and I asked for Broadband max - but my exchange is full so they've put my on the more expensive BT thing instead. The basic phone package is free too.
Not sure whether I got install. and Sky+ free due to the Broadband issue, or whether that was decided by Sky or by the installation company as I live in a flat.
Anyway... if you have Sky TV only and want an upgrade to Sky+ or multiroom, I would also ask them for their free broadband and free phone package as they seem to offer the best deals when you take TV+Broadband+Phone.
Hey Dude: your folks will need to keep their BT line anyway. Make sure they get introduced by a friend too, so that everyone gets £50 M&S or Next vouchers.0
