Questions
Do any VM customers...
have more than 2 set top boxes?
have any special deals on Sky sports/ movies or both?
have any bigger/ better discounts on any of VM services?0 -
what would the upgrade cost be to get sky + i currently have 4 mixes and know i would have to pay extra £10 a month what would the box cost0

Left Sky a year ago. Finally gave-in to their badgering to take-out a new account. Have got Sky+ with FREE box and FREE installation. (Reconditioned Unit) Also, half-price for three months. I won't renew after the first year unless the deal is right. All I want is National Geographic, Discovery etc for my son - big price to pay when FREEVIEW with a Humax PVR does nearly the same job as SKY+. Why the £10 charge for this service????0

This offer (33% off) simply doesn't exist, so I think you've probably been victim to a clever sales technique i.e. give you less, for less, but tell you its 1/3 less than what you were paying.
Sky offers going at the moment appear to be
Retention
£49 Sky +
1/2 Price / Free service call
Free Moving Home offer
Free Dish
Free Box
Free Dish and Box
Re-instates
3 months 10% off
I think there's also a mailer going about just now for people who are on the 6 mix to try sports or movies for half price for 3 months. DO NOT ask for this offer when cancelling, as the above departments cannot access them.

This is an offer other people have been offered. Get your facts straight before you accuse people of lying.0 -

lets face it sky dont know their !!!! from their elbow,or should i say their freesat customers from their sub customers:rotfl: so if those are the only offers you stated taking place at the moment then why are people gettin half price for 12 mths and a third off for 12 mths i wonder, maybe they are all lying:rolleyes::dance: " i wanna be the minority! Has anybody else had trouble using the 0800 freephone number, have tried a couple of times today and it connects, Option 1 is for Broadband, Option 2 for everything else, if you select option 2 it says access to this service is no longer available from this number
Is there a new freephone number that anybody knows about?0 -

Sky have just rung me and offered sky+ free instalation and 3 month half price. She said this is a general offer at present but boxes are refurbished . Have been waiting for a deal like this since august.
wouldnt budge on a longer half price deal but I shall re negotiate in 3 month fitting it wednesday .
Has anyone has sucess offering the installer cash to move the box from the front room to a bedroom ?
( all he needs to do is connect to dish and run cable on conservatory roof and drill hole in bedroom wall .
we can do the rest wish hubby could do this but has hip problems and cant climb to fix !!
what sort of price are we talking offering ????
thanks maisy-maiIf you like what I wrote
please click the thankyou box :T0 -
Three times I have tried this and despite paying £47 monthly, they just take my cancellation. Either I am no good at haggling or else they have my card marked. In fact I could swith to cable, save £15 per month and have a much better service. I just cant be bothered with all the hassle of an install. Are there no pro hagglers out there who can haggle on others behalf, for a cut of the profit of course?0
