Hi I am a new customer to sky, I have got the bog standard digi box with all channels 1/2 price for 5 months,it works out at £21.25 a month.
I joined through CD Wow and also got a £35 voucher through them which I used last week and received all items I ordered Mon morning.

When talking on the phone, the lady just mentioned that half price would make it £21.75 (so basically half price of the total price and not just of the increase!) No mention at all of the £32.25 price, and I checked with her about 5 times the price I would be paying!

So I now have the full package for 3 months, for just 75p more than I was paying previously.

The code to quote is 'Disney Sky World', the offer ends 31st October, and in the small print this is for customers who currently have the Sky Entertainment Pack (£21/month).
The only t&c I can see is that if you cancel in the first month you end up paying the full price for that one month (ie. £43)
Otherwise you can just cancel it after the 3 months is over.

I tried this and the Agent asked for a numeric code as the system didnt accept 'Disney Sky World'. Anyone have any success?

Unfortunately only customers who have received the mailers "Disney Sky World", "Sports Sky World" or "Movies Sky World" will be able to take up this particular offer, if you haven't received the mailer the option to apply the discount won't appear on your account

Customers who are on the 6 mix / family pack (£21 per month) should check their October magazine, as you may get this offer in a separate letter enclosed in the mag.

I live away from home during the week and share a flat with 2 other guys. We used to have Sky a while back but one of the residents moved out and took it with him, so last week my flatmate approached them as a new customer.

Initially no deals other than the current 3 months 1/2 price offer. Then he asked about a reconditioned Sky+ box and was told that we could have one of those for free. They wouldn't budge on installation though - £60.

He told them he would think about it and immediately rang back and got through to someone else. He told them that he had just been speaking to one of their colleagues about a recon Sky+ box and the second person agreed. He then just slipped into the conversation "Would that be free installation?". They thought about for a moment then said "Yes".

Result!! We now have free Sky+, 1/2 price on a full package for 3 months, and we can change our channel options at the end of the 3 months and, apparently, we can renegotiate then too.

Cheaper alternative to Multiroom
TV Link costs around £40. It's a simple wire running from your sky box to another tv. Available from sky themselves and your engineer. Shows only the channel your box is set to unlike multiroom where you can watch different satellite channels at the same time.

Phoned today and could not get the sky plus Best Offers 1 deal, but ended up with 6 months half price.
