    Morning all,

Not raining here yet  , I did a load of washing last night and have hung it on the airer, I think that is the way to go at the moment, do a small load and spread it out, its still a bit damp but should be ok by tonight.

Off to w**k again today, month end to do this morning, need to get it done sharpish, as I am late with it due to being off sick.

Something with chips for tea, and we have a sainsbugs delivery coming at 6, I need to look up a recipe for grape jelly, next door planted a vine, which i have encouraged over my side, and is now smothered in grapes, they are very tart, but I thought they might work in jelly, anyone made HM wine with grapes ?

Pen pin, good luck today hun xx

Pixielust hope you feel better soon xx

Hugs where needed, have good days all xx

Hugs to Smoky, PenPin, Jayward, Essex-girl's Dad, Candygirl's Dad, Beth, her DGD and her DBs and Sammyjig's OH and anyone else in need.
Donny, hubby & I have 2 anniversaries. when we met & when we moved in together, any excuse, lol.
Apart from another carrierbag of apples still to do, I have finished cooking. I made 8 Tex Mex chilli, 8 lasagne, 4 beef casserole & 2 doz apple crumbles, not all for BIL, some is for my kids, to save them cooking some nights.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

  • Morning all,

dry here at the moment and very warm/muggy, but looking quite overcast. We will see. As I've woken up I presume the world still hasn't ended. Yesterday's thread was quite intellectual...!!!

Troo, I was going to say that was great news on the job front, then just read your post above.... sounds like he probably will come crawling back at some point (when it's too late maybe?!?) so you will have even more leverage to get things on YOUR terms.. Stooopid man.
Kathy, I should be getting one of those energy thingies too - not sure how they work but I plan to threaten to charge DD's for all the unnecessary things they use/leave on....!!!!
N9eav, an expensive month for you... :( It always seems to come at the same time. Hope you manage to not spend as much as you think & get a good deal on the mortgage.
SunnyDay, now I'm learning how to use my new drill & put shelves/hooks up, there's no stopping me, lol!!!!
PrincessP, hope you feel better later & DS's bloods have settled. Problem with kids is they don't want to be "different" do they, so they just carry on regardless, but don't think about the implications. Hopefully school will be helpful too.
PenPin, hope you get on ok this morning, can you have a little doze while you're there?

Not sure what I'm doing today, probably into town for a little while as I need to buy a small/cute/quirky/unusual/nice/cheap birthday present for my mate who is now 40!! Also need to get youngest DD a few little odds & ends to add to her mobile phone for her birthday Sunday. Think Banana Bread will be made too, and another batch of Rocky Road as the last one vanished in around 10 seconds.

Was having a bit of a paperwork day yesterday, cancelling unnecessary stuff, etc. Also took meter readings to give to EON having been reminded by Triggles post that was also something needing doing...!! Rang my gym to check the date my 1 year is up so I could write to give my 1 month's notice (so I thought....) as I won't have time while I'm back at Uni, but apparently it is a 3 month cancellation period!!!!!!! So I won't be feeling inclined to rejoin there when I finish Uni. Plenty of other gyms [STRIKE]competition[/STRIKE] around.

    (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) to all needing them.

PenPin: Good luck at the hospital
Princess Pixidust: hope you feel better soon

((((hugs)))) to anyone else who needs or wants one

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning everyone

Nasty and grey here, has been raining and the sky looks full of it. Have to go out this morning, need to post BIL's birthday card and nephews 18th Birthday stuff, busy weekend for my DSis this weekend! Library books are due back too.

Pen-Pin ((hugs)) hope you get on ok at the hospital
Pixie - high/low bloods are such a worry aren't they. The main problem with have with DSD is she won't get up in the mornings, this puts her readings out all day. OH had a talk with her the other weekend about it but she just says I get up this late at home
Troo - did he take the stuff in the end? if he didn't I would send it back in a cab saying the business will pay on delivery :D

Dinner tonight will be pasta and something, probably chicken and leek as there is a lonely leek begining to look sorry for itself in the fridge.

    Have a good day xxx

Pen-Pin - hope today will be brighter for you x

mioliere - remoska should be paying you for your advertising

N9eav - enjoy your long weekend - esp the wedding

jannieannie - enjoy your meal out

troo - your ex-boss is mad! And well done on keeping the shredder :D

Hester - what a load of bulk cooking you got round to. Is it dinner at yours tonight then ;)

Been up for a while now- made DH packed lunch, had breakie together and now I'm havign a cuppa before deciding where to start the day. For once I've reached the bottom of the washing basket and place relatively clean, so think I'll have to tackle one of the bigger jobs (I'm still refusing to clean the floors!!!! )

dinner is harissa chicken with veggie cous cous, lunch will be toast and scrambled egg I think.

hhugs and hellos to everyone

    morning all!

off to work later after I've picked my new specs up from specsavers on the way. They are nice trendy ones - purple with flowers on the arms!

Had a drama last night - DS1's car key broke off in the lock, after a bit of advice from DH he managed to drive it to our house where he stopped last night. DH is going to try and fix it later today. He cant afford a locksmiths bill!

PP -and Pixie (((hugs))) hope you both feel better soon xx

Troo - I hope your ex boss soon sees the error of his ways,

Catowen - hope you're ok and can find time to post soon x

    Mrs_Mix - :hello:

Hope you all have a lovely day - am at work from 11am till 10pm!
