Happy Birthday PenPin. Twink and Pixie - so sorry to hear your news about Uncle. It is sad that both him and your Aunt have gone within a fairly short time.
HH - actually having loft withdrawal symptoms so had better rectify that!
Off to the dentist in just under half an hour and my stomach is turning over at the thought. I have a very loose tooth and I have a feeling he will take it out this morning.
Not a bad day here but rather blustery.

Morning!
Had a quick catch up of yesterday and Monday when I got in from work, but have had a couple of hours sleep since then, so sorry if I forget anything or anyone!
Troo - good luck with the job hunting, how about full time piggy breeding? Guess it wouldn't pay well, but they are so cute!
Sam - glad your oh is home.
Welcome to the new peeps!
To the lady having the babe, how exciting, hope everything went really well, details of babe and pics please - we love pics here!
Hugs to everyone else, and penpin I'm glad that you didn't have to wait too long in hospital.
Have been working and was dashing around yesterday, went for coffee with my mate yesterday morning, after he'd grovelled for being a total pain on Monday night I decided I might forgive him, I'm so magnanimous lol! Anyway I settled for a coffee and a cooked brekkie! Then I collected d3 and a couple of kids from the village from school, went to see my friend who's expecting for lunch, and sent the kids off to fill a couple of bags each with apples, now need to peel, cook and freeze them all!
Then took the kids to see the Tour of Britain, one of the stages ended in Burnham, which is a few miles from us, so the kids were all given the
afternoon off school, it was nice to watch the riders come in, and the kids were given all sorts of bits and bobs, so that was a bonus!
Then it was home, dinner for the troops and w**k. Feel frazzled this morning, and no idea why, so have gone back to bed with a cuppa and the detective bits on radio 7. Think I shall browse and snooze.
Have put the wm on, pots soaking in the sink, and bm is busy making dough for pizza for tonight's dinner. Hoovering was done by one of the kids last night and all the crafting stuff was cleared away by the fairies (dd1 I think actually). So not much else needs doing now!
Hope you all have a lovely day, and will now catch up on todays news! xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Happy Birthday, PenPin:bdaycake:
sorry to hear about your job troo - you should become Martins right hand lady with all that moneysaving talent
donny-gal - I like listening to johnny walker as well.
Well, the weather can't decide if it's going to brighten up or tip it down hmmmm. Have some os chores to do, but WM and DW alreayd on so headed in the right direction today.
Got lovely fabric, blackout material and a roman blind kit all ready for me to attempt a creation over the weekend. Feeling a bit more organised and got all my preemie knits to Loving Hands in the post last week. I'm wanting to try and knit a few christmas decorations, so will have to start sooner rather than later
It's meant to be beef stew with new potatoes and green veg for dinner tonight, but i've just realised that i've not got gravy granules. ANyone any ideas what I can use instead?
have a good day guys x - As it's almost 20 past 9 I presume the universe is still here as we know it?!
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this responser.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!

Morning all
Not very with it yet, been up half the night with a migraine (probably from painting my log cabin yesterday & affecting my neck/shoulder muscles L )
Happy Birthday PenPin!!! Have a lovely day…
Also birthday greetings to CharliesMum’s son. I have two friends who are both hitting the big 40 today, must send some sarcastic texts. I have 2 months to go yet..!!
Twink/Pixie, glad you all had a nice week together. Sorry to hear about your uncle though Twink L
Jannyannie, my youngest DD12 will eat cold pizza for breakfast…eugh…
Or cheese & jam sandwiches. Bizarre child.
PenPen, yep, apparently it is the end of world – so my DD’s want to know why they had to go to school…?! However, it’s an hour after they should have started the experiment and we’re still here….
Ceridwen, I know what you mean about the money being spent when there seem to be so many other things it deserves to be spent on. I’m sure on the news or something they were saying the research findings may help the development of various types of scans (MRI etc), so I hope that is the case & it does contribute towards healthcare in some way.
JoannasMum, ((((((((((hugs)))))) for you & your family, hope it’s nothing serious with your OH.
Time for another cuppa I think, still trying to get myself functioning, but not got loads to do today, will just take it fairly easy I think. Made some rocky road yesterday afternoon, so DD;s have all taken chunks to school.
((((((((((((hugs))))))))))) for all those needing them.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)

Penpin - Happy birthday! Hope you have a fantastic day and are thoroughly spoilt!
Twink and pixe - hugs to you both.
Moliere - I use a marker pen to write on bags, just the one I keep for marking the kids' uniform, for small pots I use stick on printer labels - will be checking later that they are still attached, they seem okay though. You could always try a bit of tip-ex on any plastic boxes and then writing on it in pencil, so you could reuse and relabel them easily?
Beth - hugs to your dgd and her friends, and to master troo, I can't believe some of the things that happen. My friend's sis was attacked just about 20 yards from her house, it was awful, and wasn't even for a reason, one of the girls had only been released from a youth detention centre a few days before!
Ceridwen - think it's something to do with dark matter and Higgs particles, saw a programme on Saturday night about it! Nobody has ever found either, but apparently they exist - but trying to create them with a particle accelerator could potentially create a black hole that sucks us all in? All very interesting but not entirely sure what use it will be, if they do find out how the universe was created what will they do with the knowledge, create a few more? I did smile though at the fact that they know these things exist but they've never seen them, bit like religion really! Fingers crossed we don't all get crushed to death in a black hole any time soon!
jos mum - sorry to hear about your oh hun, hope it's nothing serious and he's back home with you both soon, and hooray for your dad.
Charlie'smum - happy birthday to your ds - not sure all the best people are born on 10th Sept, some of us have birthdays in January!
Grannybroon - good luck at the dentist, that is my least favourite place to visit ever, euch!
Annie - thought even if a black hole was tiny that it still exerted such huge gravitational pull that it could still destroy us? ds was informing me of all sorts of stuff, he seemed to know all about the things they were on about on the programme I watch, and just looked at me as if I was mad and said it was part of his curriculum! I can remember doing a lot of things about forces, playing with bunsen burners and the periodic table, but def don't remember much about black holes being taught - must be older than I thought!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
