TROO - On a different note - sorry to hear about your job loss. Hopefully - with your undoubted skills - it wont be long before you get something better - so "onwards and upwards". Would be interested to know which way karma is "going to bite his bum" purlease - should you wish to share this with us....
In my own experience karma does seem to have a habit of "biting the bum" of bosses who "deserved" it...
EDIT; you're welcome Troo - she aint psychic folks - leastways I dont think so? This post published immediately after my first one today - dont know how come it moved???<puzzled>0 -
Morning all,
Happy Birthday PenPin :bdaycake:
(((hugs))) to those who need or want one.
DH had a fairly comfortable night. I have left him asleep as he obviously isn't in pain at the moment.
I'm going to try to get back to a sort of routine today, as much as I can. Off to Mr T's this morning.
Nice and suny here this morning, hope it stays that way.
Have a good day all

Morning.
Happy Birthday Pen-Pin, hope you are out of the hospital quickly again.
Bethebee Hugs to your DGD.
I feel shattered this morning and I slept well
maybe sugar is the answer, unless Celyn is turning into a horse nibbling sugar lumps
Work today, back sandwich making and then I'd better tackle the housework as Mr Twit is away, I can't blame him for the mess.

Hello everyone, Happy Birthday Pen Pin hope you have a lovely day. It was a bit misty in MK first thing, but seems to be clearing, might be a decent day. Felt recently that the nights are really drawing in quickly and have an autumnal feel. Autumn is my favourite season. DS is with his Nanny today so will have a great time being fussy over and spoilt rotten. Nanny is good as he is not spoilt with lots of sweets or toys but her time and attention. Probably having a pizza and garlic bread tonight, OH will be cooking so it will be something easy in the oven. Take care, duddles x0

Welllllll, the boss is a hard worker, but NOT a businessman. VAT returns confuse him, paper is put in a pile on top of the filing cabinet, he forgets to tell the bookkeeper when he's withdrawn money from the bank etc etc etc. When we had the office, he'd be on the computer and say 'oooooh look at this' so I'd wander over thinking he'd found a new supplier with good prices or something - no, it'd be a rare Iron Maiden album on ebay  Me and the BK kept everything going.
He toyed with idea of me doing the books, but decided to stick with her - I don't blame him, she's really good. I'd sort what the BK needed and what we should keep - he didn't have a clue. The other day, the (self-employed) BK said to me that she's not getting enough work from him now and she has more clients wanting her so she's probably going to give him up. He doesn't know this yet :rotfl: He's going to end up with no-one :rotfl: I shouldn't laugh really but I just think it's really funny :rotfl:

Ah! Thats the karma you mean Troo.....;)
But - honestly - if you saved him all that money - then I do think he coulda given you a sizeable bonus to say "thank you". It aint gonna be much redundancy pay by the sound of it....
Still..sitting here biting nails and taking deep breaths....scanned the Independent newspaper website today and read their article re the particle accelerator - right -more enlightened as to why the "mad scientists" are doing this..in laypersons language if I am interpreting it aright...its because we realise that there's one heck of a lot more Universe/matter out theres than we can see/hear/feel - generally recognise with our standard 5 senses. I'm non-technical and coulda interpreted that totally wrongly - so apologies if I have. Okay-dokey - so what? A - very few - people can get a bit of a "handle" on the rest with the Sixth Sense they are lucky/unlucky enough to have - the rest of us have to take a wild guess. I'd rather we took a wild guess - than take a massive risk.
Maybes the "dark matter" we dont have any way to investigate is "The Other Side" - ie where we go and live when we die - maybe thats why we cant measure it - as its non-physical as we understand it.0 -
:bdaycake: happy birthday pen-pin
lovely to see you back grannybroon, and glad everyone seems to be getting better.

Morning Everyone
Happy Birthday to Pen-Pin
Sorry about your job Troo
Have a ((hug)) anybody who want one.
Havent been around for afew day as we have all been ill. DH was taken into hospital yesterday with chest pains so I'm very shaken up. DD is really upset that her daddys not here and hes in Salford near his work. My dad was an absolute star yesterday just dropped everything and came with me as I had no idea where the hospital was.
So thats what happening with me if I'm MIA its because I'm knackered from rushing up and down the M62.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -

Good morning all
Happy Birthday to Pen-Pin. Hope you have a lovely day.
troo sounds like your boss may just come crawling back to you shortly. If you are going to consider it, make it worth your while.
twink so sorry to hear of your loss. I know you were close to your uncle and aunt so this must be difficult for you. (((hugs)))
PPixie Hope your DS's bloods get sorted out as it's bound to be a source of stress for you and him.
ceridwen I can't say that I'm panicking about the collider sucking us into oblivion. Like floss I read on the BBC website that Stephen Hawking doesn't believe it will work and even if it does produce a black hole, it will be so small that it will dissipate. Of course, all of this is wayyyyy over my head so I'll just carry on as normal. I agree about the waste of money though - so much more could have been done with it although I'm sure some scientist-y bod will tell us that we need to spend vast amounts of money on projects like this.
joannasmum, (((hugs))) hope DH is ok. Take care
Pen-Pen I loved Cranford when it was shown on tv. I have dropped hints to DS and DD about possible Christmas presents. Glad you are enjoying it.
Still on dvds but in the opposite direction from Cranford - I ordered the full Rab C Nesbitt series on dvd yesterday. I loved that show when it was on tv though I did have to act as translator for some of the people in my office as they couldn't always follow what he was saying.
W*rk today again but I don't have too much to do so I can pace myself.
I have some kiwis that need using up so I think I will make some kind of kiwi pie today. Just need to pick up a couple of things from the shops.
Hoping not to use too much gas or electricity today as the washing is up to date and the BM doesn't need to go on. Will use the Remoska for dinner so usage should be minimal with any luck.
Have a wonderful Wednesday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
