Thank you thank you thank you :D

Pippa you might have sneaky slugs in your garden. One slug (keel, I think) lives underground and burrow up under plants, avoiding slug pellets. I don't think you can do anything about it.

Mioliere I think the site is playing up, all smilies looked like red crosses just now and a couple of times I got a page saying the site is closed for scheduled maintenance.

:j :money:  :p ;):D:o   :rotfl: :T :A I've got my smileys back! I don't know where they went but they decided they didn't like their new place and came back to me!

Pippa - you must have superslugs where you are:eek: I'd be hopping mad if that happened to me. I know it's a bit late now that they've done the damage, but try the beer treatment next time. Sink a container of beer  into the soil, they fall in and drown but drown happy, so you don't have to feel guilty. Get your DH to empty the container, though, that bit is man's work!

Anyway, I'm off - I only logged back in to check on my smileys.

Troo - I've just read your post - I'm glad it's not our fault! All I had was red crosses too but they're back as smileys now!

    Afternoon all.

Happy Birthday to PenPin and to Charlies_Mum's DS:bdaycake: :bdaycake: I have to say Charlie Dog looks a lovely chap!

Twink, I'm sorry to hear about your uncle.

I'm a tad muzzy-headed today (oh, ok, my brain's been replaced with mushroom soup) so here's a (((((hug))))) for all who are poorly, worried, sad, or scared sh*tlss about the Hadron Collider.

Mr LW and I are not happy wolves today. Both snuffling our way through tons of hankies; I had no sleep last night cos he was so bunged up that he was snoring for England. Bless him, he's still gone in to work today, as he has to greet some visitors on behalf of a colleague. I think he still has the "go to work unless you're dying" ethic from when he was a contractor, when not going in meant not getting paid.

I may try and make a fruit pie later, if I can overcome the dizziness for long enough. Not sure what to do for tonights main course though - possibly pasta with cheese sauce, I can do that on autopilot!:rolleyes2

Mr LW has just phoned me to say he's bought some whisky, so we can have Hot Toddys tonight.:T :T :T It doesn't cure the cold, but it puts the germs flat on their backs for a bit!:D

    Have a good day everyone.
