Oh Heck Teacake! hope I don't get one of those! just got the standard "we'll let you know when your order is leaving our warehouse" e-mail so keeping my fingers crossed now.
I'm not a good shopper at the best of times and I hate choosing anything, so If it all goes wrong I'll be back so that someone can tell me what else to buy!Time, Tide and Diarrhoea wait for no man.0 -
It could not have been brand new.
I gave the link for new Dell XPS and they are not £450.0 -
Yup, was brand new, i7 processor XPS, from the Dell site. Did have an additional £30 spend to upgrade the RAM to 8Gb when I got it (massively cheaper that Dell's RAM cost) but was still under £500. Could probably find the thread on HUKD where it was posted originally if you really don't believe me. The XPS's are expensive at the mo cos they're all 3rd gen Intel processors, so carry a price premium cos they're still new.
Find the thread on HUKD and provide a link, and then find a brand new Dell XPS that you can by today for £500 and also provide a link and I`ll buy one.0 -

I'd appreciate some knowledge in helping me select a laptop which I'm buying for a community group. WE have funding of £400 to purchase a laptop and MS Office software but wondered if the Microsoft Surface would do the job we need, which is write up minutes, email etc. Any help appreciated, I'm desperate!

Hi
Can anyone recommend a laptop around £250 thats for general internet browsing, word publishing, watching BBC Iplayer etc.
I've seen a couple on the ebay arogs store and wondered if any of these would be suitable.
Any recommedations would be greatly appreciated.
Also we are undecided between a laptop and a tablet so if anyone can give me any advice on the laptop compared to the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 that woulod be great.
