Thank you mwbrown, :T
As the order was still pending with P*xmania I cancelled it and have ordered with Dixons instead. Thank you for saving me £40.91. :money: I still went through Quidco so will get a miniscule 1.5% cashback but its better than nothing!
I had seen the Tosh in Currys and PC World but foolishly didn't check Dixons  on the basis that I'd looked at two out of the three and they both had codes off ultrabooks but not refurb lappys.
Thank you very much once again. :A
Take care,
Spigs
ETA: Thank you too TakeThis.

Apologies as I'm very aware this is not the right thread for this.
This is my old DELL desktop I'm talking about. It is about four+ years old now. Once my new Tosh laptop (i5-2430M 4GB RAM Windows 7 64-bit) arrives I will take the DELL to work to get it cleaned inside. I was asking whether or not the 32-bit OS relates to the hardware of the system and whether I could have the OS upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit? Or perhaps there is a Windows 7 32-bit perhaps?
Thanks for your time.
All the best,
Spigs
Ok, I missed...I almost wasted a load of £££ around Christmas....
Again, you can run 32 or 64 bit.0 -
No Problems Spiggle, i was looking over the weekend but couldnt make my mind up which to order (my old Dell XPS1330 is on its lasts legs and so need a replacement, so decided to take the plunge and order one - its seems like a good price for A CORE i5 laptop. Also decided that as i was upgrading the memory from 3gb to 8gb in the wifes DELL laptop - she keeps telling me its running slow, thought i would take the opprtunity to upgrade the not yet received Toshiba from dixons and buy myself 8gb of memory.
Found some 4gb Kingston value memory on ebay from the DABS outlet store for just under £16 for each 4gb module.....
Im tempted to get an SSD for it and stick the 500gb hdd in the laptop in a portable caddy and use that for storage etc.... but dont think the wife would be too impressed considering how much we have spent this weeked, a replacement laptop, memory, a weeks holiday in a couple of weeks paid for... so might have to wait a few weeks before i try and sneak the order in for the ssd drive.
Glad i helped you save some money Spiggle and hope you enjoy the laptop its seems like a great spec laptop for not a lot of money..
Regards

Cheaper here @ £14.69.0 -
i saw that, but never heard of silicon power memory before and i remember a few years ago purchasing some "unknown brand" memory and having nothing but problems with it.... So decided for the sake of just over a £1 or so more i would go for the kingston memory which i have used many times before.
I know its a money saving site, but from memory i had to buy memory twice before just to get one lot of good memory as the site i purchased from took the memory back and couldnt find a fault with it, so returned it to me and it still gave me problems - i think its still in the cupboard somewhere gathering dust.....
