I have bought refurbished PCs for both home and work for many years from http://www.europc.co.uk/ usually they are "one offs" but you can get some bargains. The last laptops I purchased were 10x toshiba C660's with 4gb ram, 320gb HDD and T3500 for £269 (£323 inc VAT). Very happy with them.0

I'm wanting to buy a laptop for my son for Christmas. He's 12 and will mostly be using it to use Paint (which any basic model can do) play games (mostly Minecraft!). Not too bothered about battery life as he'll always be in the house.
I'm hopelessly overwhelmed with the many different types and different processors and graphic cards etc etc and wonder if anyone would suggest a few models for me!
I don't want to spend too much but I do want him to be able to play his games on it.
If anyone knows of any Paint like graphic programs too, that are fairly simple (he has autism) then I'd appreciate the suggestions!0 -

Hi everyone, was looking to purchase a laptop around £350 mark.
I was looking for an Intel i3 processor as I heard for the budget they are one of the best processors to have.
Anyways I had my eyes on the Lenovo B570 15.6 inch Notebook on Amazon
This was priced at £399.98 a few days ago. And it was just the price I was not keen on, checked last night and was amazed to see it had gone down to £378.99:eek:!! I purchased it right away, now I can not wait for it to be delivered:j. Yo ucan also purchase the 3GB Ram version for £374.99.

We use a program called 2Paint a picture in the school I work in. I think it is fantastic. As easy to use as MS Paint but with lots of extras. You can buy it for home use for £25

Is it worth the extra money to get an i5 instead of an i3?
I can pay up to approx £ 500 and am looking for a fast processor and 4g + of ram. I'm not too bothered about hdd size as i'll be using external storage. I had considered http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Acer_Aspire_5750_Core_i5_Laptop_LX.RLY02.097/version.asp
But am wondering maybe there's an i3 nearer £ 350 that would be better.0 -
