Well, you'd hope about the worst they could do is charge about £30 for a N 3120.

Maybe I could send the phone back and keep the new SIM - hmmm, actually, that could be the tricky part - it might cancel the old and new ones ... bit of clever talking required if it happens.

or maybe you don't get a new SIM? - sorry, I've never upgraded before

I read all about the application unlock and the sim unlock. At the moment I'm just trying to find my way around the phone.

Let me know if you try the unlocking and if you found it straight forward or not?

the unlocking for application for the Motorola MPX 200 which I assume would be similar for this device was pretty straight forward. FOr 2AX if you do not register the new simcard when it arrive, it will "auto-register" in two weeks time and your old simcard will die a horrible death :-)

I've not ordered the c550 yet thinking about it. Read al the problems with crashes and flakey software!

I've ordered 2 x k300i to see if they arrive

I have 2 more sims on OVP Virgin so can get 2 more phones. I like the idea of the 512meg mp3 but an mp3 player with SD card slot is £9 now and sd cards are cheap.

What is the player like on the phone for music? I assume you got the misic edition unit?

How long did you upgrade take to arrive from the time you ordered it? I assume it was £50?

I only got it last night so haven't had time to look at the music side of it.

I did get the music edition and ordered it on Tuesday about 4pm. It was delivered yesterday.

Had email from Orange stating that order was complete and ready for despatch and would be delivered on Friday (yesterday) between 9.00 - 17.30 hours.

Nothing turned up so thought that was that. However rang them this morning just to check and was informed that phone was on the way with the courier company and that the delivery time was only estimated. Should be with me Monday , so looking like the upgrade works.

Has anyone had delivery yet?

Yes ordered Tuesday, delivered Thursday.

Not had mine yet. Don't forget that the upgrade cost, not the phone price, is put into the next bill - so you will have to wait until the next bill to be certain they don't add an extra cost. If I get an extra cost in the bill, be sure I'll be contacting them to sort it out.
