Halifax faster payments - nearly there?

With luck it will be days rather than weeks before they change their software and switch it on (remember that 'Faster Payments' is a service provided to all the banks that works for amoutns up to £10,000 now - the fact that you can't send £1.01 is a software patch applied by HBOS themselves. If you ask them they ought to be able to say when it will be 'opened'. But they won't, of course, they'll only update the 'October' mis-information to a 'November' version and - without telling anyone will quietly remove the stops on fine day.).....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0

FWIW I made a payment in the order of £20 to a Lloyds acct and it went through in no time flat...I am not a financial advisor or other expert. Allowing up to £20 for me as well on transfer/bill payment to HSBC, which suggests to me that they are rolling out the service in much the same way as some other banks did (gradually increasing the payment limit over a number of days/weeks to control the volume of transactions going by Faster Payments).0

Still nothing here, though it is an internet savings account i have with halifax not a current account. Has anyone been able to transfer from savings? Cheers0

No useless for me too. Apparently it should go through but they blamed my other account for refusing to accept a faster payment.0

I sent a payment of £1.00 from my halifax web saver to my lloyds current account. I chose todays date, hoping it would use the FPS, but then it said it would send it the next day. So I assumed you couldn't send a FP using a savings account, only recieve. On the next day, I looked at my lloyds account and there the payment was with the tag FPI (faster payment incoming) so savings accounts do seem to be able to send FP.0

The transaction size limit for faster payments is staying at £20 until the end of the month according to what they told me. After that it will be £500. No information yet on when the full limit will apply.0

Well I had a standing order setup to transfer £200 from my Halifax High Interest Current Account to my Barclays ISA on the 17th and it left Hx and arrived at Barclays on the same day!
Not sure if the fact that it was a SO made a difference - I always thought they would implement FP for bill payments before they did it for SOs?
Good for me though as I didn't actually want to make the oayment to my ISA since I'm in the process of transferring it and thought the additional payment would get cauight up in the transfer process and screw it all up so the fact it arrived the same day is a relief!
Just tried a bill payment to Barclays current account and it's allowinvg me to select today's date but advises as usual that it won't get paid until the 20th...
