I've been on the market for 4 weeks tomorrow and still only had one viewing
EA says they're doing everything they can and that I'm getting lots of attention from their staff but just can't seem to get people to view.
He said the press and that programme on BBC2 last week hadn't helped as the 'experts' are predicting further price falls of 15% over the next 6-12 mths but it seems other people here are getting viewings so I think that's just an excuse.
Ah well, - just have to be patient I suppose.0 -

Sorry if this sounds negative but bear in mind whatever the overall prevailing market it is still seasonal. So at some point around now it is feasible that interest starts waning due to the SummerA retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.0 -
As FTB, we will sadly only be looking for another 3-4 weeks, as we'll have to sign a new rental agreement if we can't find something suitable.
The place we like is overpriced, so that would mean we'd be looking again in 4 months. If the media stories are true, maybe fate will decide for us, could be a good thing to wait, although we do want our own home...MFW #185

Update on us:
Our Buyers Solicitor have their contracts readu for them to sign on the purchase of our house.
However they are having problems with their buyer, (a FTB). Basically they had a homebuyers report and that raised a minor issue in the attick room, the survey has told the EA that it will cost approx £250-£300 to rectify and does not revalue the property. The FTBers sols have blown this all out of proportion telling them that it will cost £2000 to have sorted! Don;t know where he's got this figure from as there has been no other inspection of the property except by the surveyor!
EA's are trying to sort it out... Please all pray (or fingers crossed depending on your beliefs!) that it gets sorted out ok and that the sales/purchases can proceed.I love giving home made gifts, which one of my children would you like?:A

Funnily enough her house isn't even on the market and she wasn't intending to move until she found out our house was going on the market. The best bit is she's a cash buyer :j. She's happy to wait until we find a house we like as she wouldn't be moving if we decided not to sell. She only wants our house, she's obviously got great taste.0
