Pawpurrs-what a shame. It really is a bit of a nightmare at the moment for us sellers. My viewings have slowed right down and I still haven't had any offers.
From what I can remember you do seem to get an awful lot of viewings so anything can happen but I know it's a real bind waiting especially as you seem to have emotionally 'moved on'.

Keep at it; surely you're due some luck

Finished cleaning as much as I can tonight in preparation for the viewing tomorrow morning.

I'm feeling cheesed off with EA though as he's trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I told him I didn't like the Title on Rightmove which is name of road and then local town. Our house isn't in the town it's in a sought after village near it so wanted the village name in the title. The EA told me they can't change the Title it is decided by Rightmove, it is automatically entered by the software according to postcode. I was sceptical so thought I'd check and obviously it is rubbish. I've found one that has a Title of "Desireable West Village Location" now does that sound automatically generated to you? I feel like calling him all the names under the sun but obviously we are supposed to be working together to sell this house.

That sucks enormously Pawpurrs - hope it pans out soon.

I've got three viewings booked in in the next three days, just as I was starting to regret rejecting the offer I got less than a day after going on the market. Although that buyer was relying on Mychoice Homebuy, so I suspect they would have failed to get the money together anyway.

Fingers crossed that I get another offer soon - everyone seems to like the property but is looking at others - don't know if this is just standard fob off from estate agents. Waiting for a roofer to come and fix my gutter joints too, so every viewing is waiting with baited breath to see if it's going to rain :-).

Selling houses sucks - good luck toeveryone who is trying to sell at the moment.

    Goodluck wizard.

I find it hard to imagine anyone not loving my home but I guess we all have different tastes and I suppose it means I'm very attached to it still. Thinking about it maybe I shouldn't move. My home is lovely

:j Gosh, its all go for you Charlotte. Take a deep breath, and ask all the agents that have people considering it to ask if people want to make an offer, then if there are several people that want it, get them to check the chain and finance before making your decision.
After all that time on the market and then they all come at once!

Thanks Pawpurrs, by the end of yesterday i thought my head was going to burst. I did the ring round yesterday to let the other agents know. Will do an update post i a sec. Any more luck with your house ?

Renting should be a doddle with all the properties about now. We had never rented before, have two cats & two ferrets plus more 'stuff' than is good for us, yet we sorted somewhere to live in 24 hours....and we're still here.

It helped that our agent was on good terms with the renting agent and could guarantee that we wouldn't trash the place. We had some other character refs too, and 6 months rent up front was no doubt a point in our favour (but it should also get you a reduction on the rent too, so everyone wins.)

Look at the renting sticky on this site to get all the tips about your rights, contracts, deposits etc.

Thanks Davesnave, im quite keen on renting for 6m or so so we can take our time in choosing our next house as their seems nothing on the market at the moment that would suit what we need. Need to do another post in a sec as ive got so much going on in head i need loads of advice.

I had a read through those rented posts and they have got some really good advice.

    thanks again x

    Hi Charlotte,
How did you get on, did you get any more offers?
    Pawpurrs x ;)
  • Update from yesterday...

    * Offer was increased from 118 to 120 (on for offers over 119,950 was looking for 125k ) The offer will not be increased any further as its a retired couple who have just sold there house to a ftb for 118k and dont need a mortgage and are using the last of their saving to add 2k and their son is paying their solicitors / moving costs.

    * Btl women hasn't got back to me so i dont think that is going anywhere.

    * Other last min btl man said it was to close to the club ( the one who wanted us out in 28days)

    Now my dilema

    * Couple who have offered want to know by lunch today as they are going on holl for a week if we are going to except.

    * Ive got 5 more viewings already booked in over the next 3 days - Do i still let them go ahead in case of a better offer ?

    * Ideally i would like to see my FA before i except but i cant get an appointment till next wed.

    * Dp wants to hang on to see if we have better offer and as much as i would like a higher offer to this is the only offer we have had in 11m

    * Our current mortgage fixed term finishes 30/09/09 and until then we have a 3k redemption fee and i would love to avoid paying, do you think if we take the offer we are likely to complete before then ?

Sorry for all the questions but ive been up all night with it all going over and over and now ive got a banging head.

    Thanks Charlotte

No, not had a viewing for two weeks, now that this buyer is no longer proccedable for the moment, I hope that they pull their fingers out.
A friend of a friend is supposed to be coming tomorrow to have a look, seen it before and loved it, but I should imagine they need to sell, and they are not even on the market.
    Pawpurrs x ;)
  • Aww Pawpurrs i hope you get another offer soon.

I told all my ea's that they had 6 weeks from my last price drop or i was taking it off the market. Ive been inundated ever since, do you think you could threaten something like this and see what happens ?
