Hey Pawpurrs, no, still no luck my end. Not had a viewing since mid Feb, even though dropped the price twice since then. But I dont think its my property so much, not many houses round here for sale, those that are dont seem to be selling, and those that do sell are literally being given away or repo's. Made me laugh on the national news this morning they were saying market had picked up....lots of cash buyers and not enough properties etc!! Yeah, maybe in certain pockets of the country but certainly not all over eh!?! I just keep telling myself that it will happen at the right time
I agree with you 100%, it's defo in pockets around the country there appears to be nothing happening in the North East or at least my area of it. Sometimes it's just a waiting game.0 -
Hope you get some more interest soon geordiescouse, still just the one?Pawpurrs x0

Liz, I've checked your posts & I can't see how much your house is on the market for, so can't advise on the offer. I dropped over £50k, but it's all relative to the time on the market and the original price of the house.
House is on the market for £139,995. We have now had a formal offer of £130,000. We have also seen a repossession we like so will put in a chheky offer to see if we can proceed.
Our main problem is lack of deposit.

Liz, I think it depends...
Our house was on the market for £158,950, we accepted £150k for it last week. So almost £9k drop.
We'd been on the market almost 7 months and it was the first offer we'd had, and was for what we ultimately wanted, so accepted.I love giving home made gifts, which one of my children would you like?:A

That's a shortfall of around 7%. You have not been on the market very long, so you may feel that an offer of, say, £135k would be more acceptable. However, there is no telling how long you might need to wait, or whether you'll ever receive an offer like that.
As someone else has said, 'a bird in the hand....' What's more, if you have a firm offer, you are in a much better position to negotiate down the price of the house you want.0 -
Wouldnt worry about that especially is that just for money laundering purposes.
Are they otherwise getting on with it, mortgage application in, survey booked, heard from their sols?
They've gone all quiet on me (and the EA as well I think). Another viewing booked for Thursday evening (as well as the one tonight). So I will have had 2 this week ~ if they turn up of course!DFW Nerd No 953 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -

our sale board went up from EA2 today and we were on rightmove last night when we checked so all good im pinning my hopes on their mailing list because we were already on RM with EA1. im not sure about having 2 for sale boards up i think it looks a bit desperate to sell and even though we are i dont want viewers to think that (if we ever get any). hope we all get viewings soon and some nice offers. good luck all:coffee:i find a cup of tea can solve most problems:coffee:
