Still no viewings or anything my end,and we dropped the price last week too. I just wish we werent in a rush cos I would happily sit it out for a while as some houses we've seen on rightmove haven't dropped their prices once in 6 months! But I cant bear having half the family 4 hrs away0

What do the EA say when you ask them about enquiries?
There's houses round here that haven't lowered their prices since pre- march 08 - and they're still for sale.0 -
They just say the usual spiel 'Thats the way the market is at the moment' etc. We will be changing agents, hoping that they may do better, but need to find the money to buy out the HIP first0

Is there anything you can to present the house better, does it look good on Right move compared to the competion for the price?Pawpurrs x0

How about an "Open Day"?
Especially if you are going to move to a new agent anyway.... Move agent, get them to generate interest, have an "Open Day" virtually straight away - get people through the door...
The market is "odd" at the moment, but there should be SOME interest (it is better now that it has been at any point in the past 12 months). You definitely want to be in a position of "getting people through the door"... make the most of the current level of interest int he market.

Am going to get a gardener to tidy the garden up as it is starting to look tatty and with the baby I just dont have the time. Will probably do the open house thing like you say when I change agents, its worth a try! Thanks!0

Would you mind if I have a little rant ?
My buyer is a nightmare (FTB). My house was very well priced, yet she has got it 15k less, I had 3 offers in the end but went with hers (the lowest by far) due to her position.
Innitially she was insisting on me moving out within 4 weeks threatening to pull out if I did not, I held firm that I would move at 8 weeks (I am unale to find a rental for the three months I need it for so have to move in with my parents).
She has bombarded me with requests and questions (she viewed it 3 times) and has been very difficult, IE if I cannot find documentation for the windows or central heating (fitted 5 years ago) she will pull out.
I am now due to exchange next week and she wants to view again, all the times she has given I honestly cannot do either due to work or the kids activities and she is having another strop.
I have years worth of stuff to pack, I am putting myself out to give her the move in date she wants. She is a single woman no children in rented accomodation. She has the mantra of I am first time buyer yada yada.
I know I am lucky to have a buyer but sher is doing my head in!

Rant away Love, she sounds like a right Madam! Can the EA do the viewing for you? Might be better than you anyway if things have gone that way, IYKWIM.
Buying houses brings out the worst in some people.Pawpurrs x0 -
Just had feedback from our first viewers, apparently they loved our house and wouldn't change a thing but it would be too small as they want to have a 3rd child..........3 children, they must be mad!!!!!
Oh well, at least we've got the first one over with.0 -
