i keep asking the EA if theres anything we can do but basically they keep saying its not the house and before anyone has a go yes we are competively priced. i think i would prefer it if they said yes this or that needs work at least then i could do something positive. i think im gonna ring them next week and see how hard i can push them suggest changing agents etc to see if it gives them a kick up the you know what. im starting to think we have been on so long that theyv lost interest. good luck i hope we both get viewings soon

Fed up again!!
Second time viewer that I was hoping was coming today, is not answering EA callSo not been confirmed, they wanted to come tomorrow and I said today would be better, but could cancel things tomorow if not, and they said they could see what they could do and come back to them, and havent! EA is closed tomorrow.
The low offerer has reappeared and spoken to the EA wanting to know what we will accept, and have gone away to think about it againThey have had weeks, so far
I dont trust them as they have lied allready about being cash when they are not....... Why do people play such games, me If I want something I go for it, no messing about, why cant others be the same
I wouldn't trust those low offerers if I were you, trust your instinct, as I wished I had with our time wasters - with us, at the first viewing and when they offered, they said we could have a quick sale as the daughter (who they were buying our house for) could give notice on her flat and move him with them if need be - then after we had accepted the offer they came for the 2nd viewing and moved the goalposts and said it would be at least 2 months before we could complete. Then of course went on to pull out altogether! As you say, they have already lied...0 -
Just an update on our sale.
We went under offer on 13th Feb (£420k on a £449k asking price) and have just exchanged today (5 weeks on). Completion in 4 weeks time (15th April).
Original asking price had been £459k (beginning of Nov), had accepted another offer £420k early/mid December, they attempted to gazunder (to £380k) mid-January, we rejected the gazunder and the sale fell through, asking price dropped to £449k beginning of Feb, offer of £420k accepted 13th Feb. Cash investment buyer... still took 5 weeks to exchange
We think that the house was reasonably priced, cash investment buyer seems to think so too (he knows his stuff - construction and property development)!
So there is hope out there - good luck to everyone selling
QT
just catching up with this thread, QT i remember reading your thread saying you had a buyer, we offered on a house a week or so later and only friday just gone have we had the contracts from the vendors solicitors. (although i'm not complaining as the mortgage deals have been getting increasingly good i've managed to snap up a 5yr fixed rate deal with no fees so in a way they have done me a favour) we both dream of moving in i cant wait to enjoy a summer in my own garden!!!:D ( we are renting a tiny 2 bed bungalow at the mo)
good luck all you sellers, you seem like you all want to sell so i think it will happen sooner or later. I have to admt in my area when i check rightmove there isnt alot of SSTC showing. In fact the first house we went for the first time in feb the vendor said he would move into rented or a hotel it didnt happen so we move onto another house and that first house is still on the market, think they might regret messing us around as they only had the house on the market before we went for it, so i dont think they realise how luky they wereListen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -

We're villages too, I can't help but think I've gone with the wrong EA as all the sellers in the street seem to have had viewers this weekend. They're all 4 beds and we're only 3 and we're obviously priced a lot cheaper. I would have liked some spin off from them though.0 -
We've had an offer £6,500 under asking price (remember we've already dropped from £140k to £100K) we've rejected the offer and hopefully they will come back with something a bit better.
We've been very up front with the agent we want to buy from and they have put forward an offer £6.5k less than we previously offered. The house we want is sitting empty as they have already moved away but they paid 200K for it a couple of years ago and are in negative equity, their mortgage is with NR so it could have been up to a 125% mortgage. They could be walking away with a £20k+ debt. Not nice but not my problem.
7 weeks until our new arrival is due! My wife will probably go into labour on the day we move.
Have to see what Monday brings. Good luck everyone0 -
Thats positive Marc, sounds like you are competivetly priced....I love old houses can you PM me a link
Will the offerers not increase their offer? Failing that you never know but the place you have offered on may well go for a reduced offer, you offered on that before you had a buyer, or was that when you had a previous buyer?
Hope all you mums are being pampered today.
Hope I hear from this woman who wanted to come back for a second viewing tomorrow.Pawpurrs x0 -
We're hoping the offerers will increase their offer.
The place we want to buy haven't had a single viewing since the chain collapsed about 6 weeks ago. So hopefully they will take a bit less and we might be able to get a deal going.
The offer we previously put on the house was when we had a buyer.0 -
Hard times, my good friend only had 3 viewings in the past 2 months. Crazy. The stupid thing about acting normal is that normal people get into stupid situations.0

Hope all going well for you all hope you've had some viewings houses look so much better on a nice day!. Just taken a walk to look at place we have bought and looks 10 X better than when we first saw it on a grey miserable day.0
